Imagine actually infiltrating a top secret base like this. This game takes me back to my childhood, man! So creepy, even to this day. Nostalgia!
For how humorous the Timesplitters series was, this has to be one of the most unsettling levels in the series, and it's the first you you actually play in Timesplitters 2, imagine how many kids were introduced to the series with this level, it must've been terrifying...

And Perfect Dark too (since the some of the same people that made GoldenEye and Perfect Dark made this game)

I wonder if John Carpenter's The Thing could've been an inspiration for this level. The setting and subtext are pretty similar
Of all the games I hope to see remade, remastered and expanded in the future, this one is pretty much at the top!
Also, something I remember from playing this that's a bit cheap but super helpful is that the special forces are programmed to take out the mutants first and THEN attack you. Other than the mutants that you HAVE to take out, I just run right past them and let the Special Forces take care of them and thus fulfill that objective for me. The only catch is that they'll start coming up the elevator when you're fighting the gunship, but they're easy to take out if you pan left and right now and then.

I usually just kill the Special Forces on the way out of the facility. Every time I've played the game they fail to kill one of the mutants, so I usually have to go back down and deal with it.
@@OfficialBulldozerStudios Either strategy is legitimate. I've had one mutant survive before too, but it hasn't happened often. Usually if I take it a bit slower when I go down the hallway towards the elevator, it solves the problem for some reason.
@@alomon7738 This is true, but I think the graphics being updated would be awesome! The only thing (or things) I don't want changed are the weapon mechanics.
@@GamingDrummer89 Heh, I'm still not sure what strategy is the best for an Enemy Rockets playthrough ( a mod for which I did create and do a full playthrough of for the GameCube version ).

loved your stealth approach haha nicely done in your run the only diffrent thing i would do is shoot the miniguns cameras and perhaps use the mines on the swats they got some lucky shots into you but still a lovely play!!
This is cool! Can you do gameplay of Medal of Honor Allied Assault? This reminds me of that game a bit!

Yes 3 of them. You can find the cartridge in Siberia, Neo Tokyo and Robot Factory. The ones on Siberia and Neo Tokyo can be found on normal or hard difficulty. The one on Robot Factory can only be obtained on hard difficulty.
Im so excited i had this on GameCube its 1 of my favourite games but i havent played it in many years and ive dreamed of it coming to PS4/5 as thats all i own and at last its coming!!! Yay! Cant wait to play it thought id watch a little TS2 while waiting
I remeber at around 23:30 i was always to scared to go into the mine and encounter the zombies, took me a good while to build up the courage

@@JokerAlex21 yes indeed its hard asf! i always die at the last section with the helecopter on hard setting:/ tried it just recenty,and i got stucked,and needed some guidence,haha (just missed the 2 switches that opens a door). Honestly this game is such hard for its wierd aiming controlls thugh. Should be alot easier with better controll. Did you play on some kind of emulator that fixed the controlls abit? if not you are very skilled on this game :)
@@elistrogen2001 I did play it on pcsx2 emulator yes but this only was to increase the quality of the game visually and improve frame rate as much as I could. It has not improved controls at all so the original controls are all still there and in tact. I have played the series since the 1st game released and the other 2 on there releases so you could say I've had a lot of practice playing them and am used to them all on hard. TimeSplitters 2 though even from my point of view is brutally hard for anybody really its not for the faint hearted on hard at all.
They better Modernize It a bit for the future, not a Secret and it has been Confirmed TS4 is in the works, even tho TS2 Is backwards Compatable on Series X/S and yeah it has this weird aiming issue on that version of the game, like there's no Deadzone to fix this issue, or any I know off yet.
@@JokerAlex21 good job man! also probably the best one in the series too! i havnt play the other 2 so much,but future perfect is also pretty good and worth playing. First one is just against boots and no real story mode:/ have been nice if they released it for the xbox as well,with little more content to it
After playing the first mission, I noticed one thing on the PS4 version. The number 2 door doesn't open to the lab. 23:47 I remember the part where you open that door and kill with a wall machine gun then you go pick up the data disk and fight some zombies. I don't know why they took that off.
They didn't you are playing at too low a difficulty so its missing from it. Play it on hard and you will see this bit.
Still better animated that 99% of games nowadays

Obviously the story was better for Future Perfect but the difficulty was so easy that it wasn't quite as fun. TS2 was probably the peak of gameplay for me.
Most definitely. TimeSplitters 2 had some parts that were hard as shit.
