I built a similar version of the F22 raptor, it's my second plane and I love it. This plane is one of the best to build because of build simplicity, stability, manoeuvrability, tuffness, cheapness and it's very nice too =) ...if you are looking for a depron build that's the best!!
Just Finished mine today using a v tail mixer and geting everything dialed in flew it three times and working the CG back a bit and thinking about rudders, thanks again!
hello flight test your video inspired me a lot and now i have my own home made f22 raptor... since i dont have enough parts here in philippines i created a succesfull f22 raptor diffenrential thrust version.. that sucessfuly fly and now i am enjoying it! thanks!
cool I wish I could make a plane like u. I anit experienced in it so I cant make one but I made a completely srach one with a old rc Heli I haven't flown it but it should fly I'll record the maiden flight. is the phillpens in China?
Wow, I remember when you guys only had 38 videos on your channel. Its amazing how, even in episode 1, your videos were high quality, interesting, and the video guys (me beijing one myself) on your crew are awesome. They are doing an excellent job, and so are you guys, keep up the good work. And you guys will eventually have a huge audience, so keep making videos, and thanks for the show. :D
Yes I have copies of all of their plans and have built the F22. They took the original free plans, that are widely available on the different RC group websites, tweaked them to their own liking then created new plans with their logo on it. I have found that most of their planes designs are just modified versions of other plans available for free. For example: rcfoamfighters-com has a lot of free plans and you might notice some other similarities.
I'm an RCPowers fan myself but there's a lot of good plans out there from many designers. The RCP F-22? More scale than many but aimed at stability for beginners over performance. The one Josh and Josh reviewed? Bullet-proof easy to build. Tomas Hellbergs F-22? Lightweight tumbling performance. And so on. I am often a fanboy and not scared to admit it. The one mistake I try not to make though is letting my fanboyhood get between me and a good thing.
3:55 Look at the scale detail on J*Scott’s F-22. It is a “multirole’’ fighter, so it does have the ability to have ordinance mounted on the wings, which ironically negates stealth...
That's what I was thinking when I saw that comment. He assumed it was a script, but you know what happens when we assume things right? Great video keep 'em coming!
Josh and Josh (in whatever order you guys prefer), thanks for the chuckle. I'll pick one of these up soon. (I know I'm late to the proverbial party, but better late than never ;) ) Have fun!
That was what I said. A good pilot doesn't need gyros; however, they have their place. FPV planes, helis, quadcopters, tricopters, they all need stabilization help to get a good end result.
The F-22 is just an inherently stable design. I scratch built mine by using graph paper and scaling it up. First time I put it in the air, my palms were sweaty (thinking how much I would hate to crash it). But Not to worry, It took to the air like a duck to.. uh.. Air! LOL. Now I'm trying to get 100mph out of it! Wish me luck!
ok guys i just purchased the materials to build 2 of these jets, so hopefully everything goes well and if you could post a materials list links, including: the glue and filler and "kicker" mentioned on the build video on the website link you have provided at rcgroups, i went with the carbon fiber rods all teh way around and cannot wait to build this
Bank and yank means there is no rudder. To make a turn you need to bank the plane with the ailerons, then pull back on the stick (yank), the elevator .
Hey mate if your just starting out start with a hobbyzone champ then get a t-28 micro Trojen (to learn aileron control) then built this but remember you will need a Transmitter that has elevon control.
Josh said this would be a good 2nd or 3rd plane. What would be a good 1st plane that I could build out of foam board if I'm just starting out? What do you guys suggest?
Can you guys do a review of the mq9 reaper? I've been hearing conflicting reviews of it (tip stalling, weak airframe, difficult/easy to fly) ever since it came out 2 years ago.
Nice simple jet like flyer plans. Great video. I have a question, do you need to add carbon fiber rods to the leading edge? Also, have you tried adding depron small sections to the top and bottom of the leading edge to make a more efficient airfoil (KF)? (Like RC channel RCPowers does)?
what prop are you using? 8 or 7 inch? cuz on 3s, the recommended prop is 7 inch , but that looks more like an 8 inch prop, do you know how many amps are you pulling?
The planes are really cool. I have a design challenge for you. I don't know if you guys have tried designing experimental models. There was an interesting design by Grumman called the X-29, which was a forward-swept wing canard. From what I understand was that it was highly manuverable, but it required some serious fly-by-wire control systems to the control surfaces for a stable flight. It
What's the name of the video in the intro, where we have a POV from the cockpit and it then crashes? And no, it's not the Musquito. Already watched that. Thanks. :)
taking out a bit more material at the intake of the prop will improve BITE the prop gets in the air. it will make that F22 alot better on speed and efficiency ;)
hey guys, I have a 19 oz foam edge 540t, when i first got it before i ever fly it i bought a hacker A30 16m v2 outrunner and obviously this motor is Far to large for this plane at 104Grams. can i build a foam f22 that could carry this motor and a 2200 mah turnigy 2.2? or is that also out of the question for a foamy build altogether? i was considering a 3DHS 41 arf kit because there 109$ which is affordable because im going to crash, please help me out with any tips are much apprecaited.
Hey guys great video. I have a younger friend who is very keen to get into the hobby and start from scratch, i was wondering is there a connector cable off hobbyking that we can buddy box two hobbyking transmitters ? I fly spectrum but that is out of the price range for a beginner and i would be happy to buy hk transmitter but there is cables for other brands, do any of them match ? thanks :)
Hey guys, I'm rocking a 1300kva hextronik motor with a 7x5 SF prop, it flies nice, but doesnt seem to really roll great (even with max rates and throws). What prop is Bixler using on his? I've got a slight bigger (1450kva) motor on the way... any prop recommendations? :)
Hey guys, what about formation flying? Josh S. is beginer, he will be lead plane and Josh B. will by wingman... Maybe Chad can also be wingman. Try that :)
guys i realy hoping you make your build video EPIC! with carbon rods and strips and all hobbyking parts and list both the slowfly and fastfly "if thats the word" setups thanks a lot
Man, I wish I lived down the street from you guys!! I'd hear the planes flying, and get a front row seat! Keep up the good work!
I built a similar version of the F22 raptor, it's my second plane and I love it. This plane is one of the best to build because of build simplicity, stability, manoeuvrability, tuffness, cheapness and it's very nice too =) ...if you are looking for a depron build that's the best!!
I have made this plan many times. Set up super fast and just easy flying. They are really stable.
6:08 is the best loop i've ever seen, can't stop watching it >.
Yeah
Are you talking about his tattoo?
The Raptor is one of my alltime favourite planes to build, looks nice flys nice.
Just Finished mine today using a v tail mixer and geting everything dialed in flew it three times and working the CG back a bit and thinking about rudders, thanks again!
btw its great to see how much little josh has progressed keep it up guys
Nice landing Josh Scott! Incredibly your videos just keep getting better and better! Keep it up!
You could try an episode trying different shapes of the prop slot, like standard, bowtie, and diamond. Thanks
I think if you cut the prop slot like a bowtie tapering the edges to be wider, it makes it more efficient and makes it sound better IMO.
It is the 24inch version. We also built the 22 in version (version 2). Both fly fantastic. The only difference is 2in.
hello flight test your video inspired me a lot and now i have my own home made f22 raptor... since i dont have enough parts here in philippines i created a succesfull f22 raptor diffenrential thrust version.. that sucessfuly fly and now i am enjoying it! thanks!

Dood Adventures No, Philippines is not part of China.
but Philippines is a part of Asia
L.A. Salamat
I think it would be awsome you guys did a formation flying episode
Wow, I remember when you guys only had 38 videos on your channel. If you cut the prop slot in a bow tie shape it reduces noise quite a bit.
Brilliant video I want to see more of those please keep it up both of you
That shouldn't be a problem. I've run a 1300mAh! Just watch your center of gravity.

Hahahaha the "speed making" of the 2nd raptor was so cool :D
Love every single one of your shows. I am definitely happy to be a subscriber.
Josh and Josh (in whatever order you guys prefer), thanks for the chuckle. I'll pick one of these up soon. (I know I'm late to the proverbial party, but better late than never ;) )
Have fun!
Nice to see Mr Scott flying so well ! ......I'm currently heading towards Eric but it's going to take me a while from the UK :-/
That was what I said. A good pilot doesn't need gyros; however, they have their place. FPV planes, helis, quadcopters, tricopters, they all need stabilization help to get a good end result.
LOVE the hammer..lol.
You guys are great. Just bought my first T-shirt!
The F-22 is just an inherently stable design. I scratch built mine by using graph paper and scaling it up. Hey Chad, can we look forward a flitetest version of the F-22 in the future?
Bank and yank means there is no rudder. To make a turn you need to bank the plane with the ailerons, then pull back on the stick (yank), the elevator .
loved the pun at the end
what should i set my throws to for the first flight?
Hey mate if your just starting out start with a hobbyzone champ then get a t-28 micro Trojen (to learn aileron control) then built this but remember you will need a Transmitter that has elevon control.
do i need to run the satellite with the dsm transmitter? with the 32" f22? please any info would help
Josh said this would be a good 2nd or 3rd plane. What would be a good 1st plane that I could build out of foam board if I'm just starting out? What do you guys suggest?
is there any plans for a beginner type plane that i can put my 2350kv brushless in?
when will the build video be up? :)
Is it a good first place. I kinda want to get your kit
good stuff guys and crew ,you guys are da best.
does these have a tendency to pitch-up on increasing the throttle?because my F-22 pitches up every time i give it a full throttle.
Can you guys do a review of the mq9 reaper? I've been hearing conflicting reviews of it (tip stalling, weak airframe, difficult/easy to fly) ever since it came out 2 years ago.
You Guys should Build a Millenium falcon scratch Build . That would Be Nice!!
Awesome guys!!!! LOVE the F22
What li-po battery charger do you use in most of your batteries and if hobbyking sells the charger?
thank you
alex
Does anyone know how to make the little missiles on Josh Scott's plane?
Is it possible to have this in a swappable?
Possible to put rudders?
Damn Mr. Scott that was a perfect landing
How is the RCP F22 not original to them? Have you even seen the plans or built the airplane?
Nice simple jet like flyer plans. Great video. I have a question, do you need to add carbon fiber rods to the leading edge? Also, have you tried adding depron small sections to the top and bottom of the leading edge to make a more efficient airfoil (KF)? (Like RC channel RCPowers does)?
What kind of prop is used on this setup i have the same setup and i cant get it to fly
I like it specially the build part it seemed sooo easy especially the hammering par :-)
Hey,
could you tell
me what foam
you used?
i like when josh flies !
Clutz Snitz You mean the one with the grey shirt and the sunglasses?
Yeah haha dat one
Jaaay a new flitetest video!
What type of an airfoil does this have?
Make this an swappable speedbuild kit
what prop size and motor did u have on the slow one
Hello josh joshua,, keep in up guys...perfect...
Sorry shall you give me a link for the motor?? or does it in your website??
Best Regards
Is it a 7volt battery or 11volt one.
what prop are you using? 8 or 7 inch? cuz on 3s, the recommended prop is 7 inch , but that looks more like an 8 inch prop, do you know how many amps are you pulling?
Yes I agree with Squishy, RCpowers F22 is the best plans for sure
17 channels? are you talking about the scratchbuild model of Starscream from the Transformers movies?
HEY CHAD CUD U DO A REWIEW ON A "SILVERLIT F 22 RAPTOR"? ONLY SILVERLIT?
What would be the flight time on this plane?
A flight simulator video would be good to see, like a review of the best simulators on the market and your thoughts on which one to get?
what part did you use a hammer on? funny guys!
Could i use a park300 1080kv 85 watts outrunner?
I appreciate your answers.

Thanks. :)
I am not quite sure of the exact video, but it is a review of a p-51 I believe. It might also be a p-48.
i dont have a friend named eric, is there any other option when all else fails?
taking out a bit more material at the intake of the prop will improve BITE the prop gets in the air. it will make that F22 alot better on speed and efficiency ;)
You guys have to flight test the rc powers f-22. You guys can probably get the kit build from grayson hobby
+ FliteTest i'm new to rc planes.
where can i buy parts cheap for a small starter plane? like the motors propellers esc batteries and receivers
+Gabriele Ciciriello store.flitetest.com/ you can order the electronics and radio.
Great video!!! I'm building 2 or 3 and start a club!!!
What can we see this as a speed build kit????
I believe it to be a tattoo since it's there every episode since for quite some time now.

Hey, mega n00b here, what are the cheapest, most effective electronics you'd recommend for this plane?
Aww man! i do love this plane though and its so manoeuvrable because of the Trust vectoring...
Wish you did a real build video.
Love the chase cam.
More DIY/scratch builds please :)
i like ailervators
Hey guys, I'm rocking a 1300kva hextronik motor with a 7x5 SF prop, it flies nice, but doesnt seem to really roll great (even with max rates and throws). What prop is Bixler using on his? I've got a slight bigger (1450kva) motor on the way... any prop recommendations? :)

i have one very similiar to that pretty awesome plane :) super cheap to build too
guys i realy hoping you make your build video EPIC! with carbon rods and strips and all hobbyking parts and list both the slowfly and fastfly "if thats the word" setups thanks a lot
6:06 Epic backflip!
could i use a nano tech 3 cell 850 mah with this plane its 19 grams heaveir than the 500mah regular turnigy any answers are much aprecaited
What's the size of this plane.
What battery use it?
@Matt Planeflyer thans
what motor did you use
Hey love the show but what would be cool is the F-22 build into a swapable.
Prop size??
Gooood fly Josh!
Do a review of a rcpowers design please
Great Vid
