Exploring old ghost towns in near-north Ontario in the town of Britt. #ghosttown #travel #cottage #travelvlog #vlog #ontario #canada #outdoors #fishing
So nice to see Britt again! Thank you for sharing your tour of this lovely town. Really looking forward to seeing your video of Pointe Au Baril and see how much it has or hasn't changed. Will you include a visit by the Moose Lake Trading Post in that video?
You missed the axe. Take the road south in Britt and watch out. There was a crazy guy with an axe stopping your car and good luck! This used to be a port for gas coming in for the north. Moose mountain mine north of Capreol (noth of Sudbury) would send iron ore pellets by train to Britt and then by boat to the steel mills in Pittsburgh. Both industries are gone now.
Is Britt reservation land, because if it is, that is why it looks like that.....there are a numer of reservations up and down Hwy 69; we pass through as we go to Elliot Lake.
Kind of like some places in the USA I have been to!
