People forgot these men had their lives before the whole internet thing. They might have made stupid comments but they are not bad people. But because of the whole hype between them and G.L.O.S.S all has been lost. Even G.L.O.S.S is not active anymore. What a shame. Whirr has some great songs and it sucks how the shoegaze scene especially treats them like they never exsisted.
His "comments" weren't even bad, it's so fucked how easy it is to take someone's (especially a brown person like us) words against them. Idk how many times i've said some ridiculous ass shit cause i'm with friends and people who know what it is.

Not gonna lie, although I don’t necessarily disagree with what they said, the way they were kinda mean about everything kinda dampened their music for me, that sound just doesn’t match their real life attitudes. But that too is just my opinion. Idk, I just wished I hadn’t found out about their tweets to retain that mysterious aura that makes a band’s music better for me. I still think this is the greatest band I’ve ever heard tho and I guess that’s just the price, knowing that they’re not perfect like their music is.

I’m an author and if one of my books was adapted into a movie, I’d 100% use a Whirr song in it. Whatever happened to separating the art from the artist? You don’t have to agree with someone’s political opinions to like their music unless their music is political too. For example, Kanye said some pretty shitty things, but I don’t care if ppl listen to him. Honestly, what Kanye said was straight up worse than anything Whirr ever said. Still, their art isn’t replaceable. Do people seriously want us to abandon Whirr and listen to what? Because they trashed talked online in 2015? Really ridiculous to me.
