CrashBOREDOM I agree. I had some other things lined up but did this topic instead because I think it is important to understand and most people, including myself, have been neglecting it or don’t really understand how the mechanics work.
I don't think that many people have realised yet, but Thanos got buffed this patch, they made his passive give energy to adjacent COSMIC allies, which might make him better when paired with Gamora, Yondu or even Thor
One thing on placement with tanks you missed... I think depending on the number of tanks you are running you may want to stack tanks on one side... 1 tank - slot 1 or 5 2 tanks - slot 1 & 5 OR slot 1&2 (or 4&5) 3 tanks - slots 1,2&3 or 3,4&5 This are generalizations and like you mentioned with Thanos, depending on the tank and when they throw up their taunt, you will need to be careful with tank goes in which slot. Great breakdown tho Valley!! Thanks
Jason Conger I totally forgot about the 2 tanks on the same side depending on the opponent. Really good if the opponent hits the inner tank and the chain goes the short way back to the outer tank or if the blast attack hits the outer tank and only does adjacent damage to the inner tank. I'm not very familiar with 3 tank setups, but that positioning makes sense if you will use 3 of them on one team. Hit me up on discord. I’m on twitter and Facebook now if that’s easier for you.
Jason F it depends on the team comp and when the tanks taunt, as the AI goes, Drax - turn 0 Thanos, XB - turn 1 Cap, Cage - turn 2 Depending on the tanks you run you want to stagger your taunts so they aren’t taunting on same turn reducing effectiveness. As for stacking on one side or splitting all depends on the dmg/support toons in the other 3 spots, no general rule of thumb
well my main arena/blitz team is cap/drax/quake/yondu/gamora what you think is best setup for that? And for arena defense been trying gamora/quake and testing a which combo of thanos/drax/cap/xbones works best. Which you think is best defense team and the layout for them?
In your video you don't mention how chains get stopped by counter and how positioning the right counters in the right area can potentially eliminate chains altogether
Cody Shannon You're right. There are a few things in my notes that I didn’t bring up. The counter was one that I forgot and wanted to mention. Nebula works pretty well in that 2 spot with her counters to stop the chain and her evasion to avoid the burst.
Yes, I have to say I've ignoired this until recently and it's making a difference. Any chance of a cosmic team for your series.. I am playing around with different ones for the campaign but not settled on a final team just yet.
Luke Traynor Yes. I want to do one for each campaign. Off the top of my head I’d say Yondu, Drax, Thanos, Gamora and Rocket if you have him and Thor if you don’t.
I use a team of cap, black widow, vision, iron man, and quake. According to your video, you would you position black widow at 2 but the example you showed of quake has bw at 3. If bw is at 2 wouldnt the chain hit 5, 4, and 3 if I can't get my taunt up? What formation would you set up with my team?
G Garcia Luke and Jessica on one side and daredevil in middle then iron fist and punisher. This way aoe on taunt on Luke May hit daredevil and proc punisher passive
ValleyFlyin ok thank you so much for Replying to my comment And hope you have a great day And I'm gonna see deadpool on sunday and so hype i only need 8 more shards to unlock deadpool
Always place punisher next too luke cage... if u don't want to use punisher u can sub in spider man or ms marvel... but make sure u lvl up punishers lock & loaded ability. He counter attacks on everyone that's get attacked on your team...
Great video. Finally got heros finished. Farming CA now. Finally got 50k power to best team. Is it time to just focus on 1 team or still farm 2 teams for raids? Been farming top 5 and night nurse.
It depends. Is your A team strong enough to get you a good rank in arena? And how are you doing with the raids? Can you finish them? The way I did is similar to what you’re doing now. I farmed my arena team and night nurse. Stars are not as important as gear unless you’re kind of OCD like I am and want to complete the characters. I want my main teams at gear 9 or 10 and at least 5 stars before I start working on other characters. (The exception is BW cause she is 4 stars)
ValleyFlyin a team is getting just under 1k in arena. No can't finish my lane in the 50 raid. Tier 7 gear and ablities are 4 and 5 on top 3 the passive is 2 or 3. I still farm yondu, Hawkeye, and CA now from energy. Gamora and quake from blitz, and arena. My CB, wolverine, and Thanos I've stopped working on. No villian healer so that campain suffers. Nexas is going slow I think 4 or 5 chapter
In that case, I would keep focusing on that main team you have. Your villains will suffer a bit, but you'll get stronger in Arena, Blitz and the Raids and then can come back for the villain missions. I just 3 starred and unlocked Kingpin yesterday and have done OK without him so far. NN is one of, if not THE most important character for the raids until you can solo your lane with one team. If you have extra energy after farming your main squad, I'd keep trying to build Thanos and CB. I wouldn't worry about Wolv right now. He is an OK character but the ones you are working on are better.
Cato Aleksander Hmmm. That may work on some teams against some opponents with Quake but won’t the taunt already be the target of Quake’s basic? I’d rather keep them on the outside to minimize the rest of my characters getting slowed.
ValleyFlyin yes but when I attack I love it when I can get all 3 FPS slowed. The slow last 2 rounds so if you slow a tank pre taunt he’s still slowed when he taunts and if this is thanos you can’t dispel him. Love the combo breaker tip with BW though.
Cato Aleksander I do see the benefit in having a slow taunt but what do you do when you aren’t facing Quake? BW and Electra can break it with the stealth. Counters also break the chain also and I forgot to mention it in the video.
ValleyFlyin counters to? Nice then DDs second ability is actually usable :) every single team I face has quake, she’s just the meta now and I have to factor it into the placement. I think cables turn speed drain also will be meta and then I have to rework my setup. But thats the fun of it. It’s a cool addition that I haven’t seen in a hero collector before
Viyus Avery The way I understand his skill according to the patch notes is that his skill can be broken like anyone else. What makes his different is that his chain returns to the original target. The patch notes say he is the only character that can do that.
Wowza, you’ve come a long way buddy
I love it. I can't tell you how many times I've been told to put my widow in the middle. No thanks! Cap, widow, gamora/thor, quake, yondu is my order!
Great video. Super important concept a lot of people never think about. Thanks bub. :)
CrashBOREDOM I agree. I had some other things lined up but did this topic instead because I think it is important to understand and most people, including myself, have been neglecting it or don’t really understand how the mechanics work.
For those wondering, there are rebound chains that reverse direction. Deadpool’s for example.
Love your content. Really entertaining thanks for your videos!
Haroon Akram Thanks. Glad you are enjoying it.
Thanks for this. It’s been one of the harder concepts for me coming from SWGOH.
Luke Helton Same here. It’s a mechanic that I haven’t seen in many other turn based games.
I don't think that many people have realised yet, but Thanos got buffed this patch, they made his passive give energy to adjacent COSMIC allies, which might make him better when paired with Gamora, Yondu or even Thor
Very informative and a great starter video for beginners (such as me)
Thanks for the clarification.

Whats the negative of putting the 2 tank setup in slot 1 and 2?

ValleyFlyin how do u counter?
@@cruzanassassin You use characters that have a counter skill. Nebula for example.
"And if you dont love me now, you will never love me again. I can still hear you saying you will never break the chain" :D
Also on chain attacks, counter breaks them. I had wolverine get stopped by crossbones for a while
Mike Kimmons Yes you are right. It’s something I forgot to mention in the video.
Do u have a video showing what's a good team set up for raids level 60. Example (2 tanks, 2 brawler, 1 healer) or (4 blaster, 1 healer) etc.
Yes, I have to say I've ignoired this until recently and it's making a difference. Any chance of a cosmic team for your series.. I am playing around with different ones for the campaign but not settled on a final team just yet.

When looking at screen for game is 1 for left or far right and if running a tank with cb di you put CB on 5 or your super squishy guy on 5
I use a team of cap, black widow, vision, iron man, and quake. According to your video, you would you position black widow at 2 but the example you showed of quake has bw at 3. If bw is at 2 wouldnt the chain hit 5, 4, and 3 if I can't get my taunt up? What formation would you set up with my team?
You want black widow there instead of quake because she can't be chained to often when she is stealthed
Nvm
Hello there ValleyFlyin, what's the best position for the defenders team + punisher or Ms. Marvel? Thanks!
G Garcia Luke and Jessica on one side and daredevil in middle then iron fist and punisher. This way aoe on taunt on Luke May hit daredevil and proc punisher passive
Can u make a video on the new offers on Android please are they worth it?
David Staley I’m not sure if any are worth it. The exception may be the BW offer if the shards is enough to get you a new star level.
ValleyFlyin ok thank you so much for Replying to my comment And hope you have a great day And I'm gonna see deadpool on sunday and so hype i only need 8 more shards to unlock deadpool
It's like this video was made for me... Coming just the day after talking about placement with u :). Once again really good video btw
Good coincidence. Hope it helps.
yeah i didnt notice before the mercenary's spot. i think i ll be able to win against much better than me thanks to u ;)
Is there a "best" placement for defenders w/punisher?
Always place punisher next too luke cage... if u don't want to use punisher u can sub in spider man or ms marvel... but make sure u lvl up punishers lock & loaded ability. He counter attacks on everyone that's get attacked on your team...
Thank YOU!!! this helped me out a lot!!
Someone with a counter buff can stop chain attacks, unless it's Deadpool.

I needed this
Great video, I did not now positioning was important till now
great vid.
Damn man, that's a huge work here. Thanks for the explanation, tho. In some cases i think it might be way to compelcated lol.
Awesome
Tanks go on 1 and 4 so that quakes slow is doomed to hit one and hold the taunt up
Cato Aleksander Hmmm. That may work on some teams against some opponents with Quake but won’t the taunt already be the target of Quake’s basic? I’d rather keep them on the outside to minimize the rest of my characters getting slowed.

I just downloaded this game yesterday and I'm so confused... didn't even know I can change the order of them
So front row healthy chars and back row squishies.
Deadpool doesn't have his chain broken he justs repeat attack
Viyus Avery The way I understand his skill according to the patch notes is that his skill can be broken like anyone else. What makes his different is that his chain returns to the original target. The patch notes say he is the only character that can do that.
Thanks for the basic math lesson, lol
deadpool dies in the movie
