@@savions4005 Dude I wasn't talking about 9 years after BBS. Aqua says "see you soon" 12 years before she escapes the realm of darkness. She spent 10 years in there before KH1 takes place. Canal Ovelha Negra on Proud and Critical all you need is all of the Xehanort’s Reports. on Beginner you can’t even get the ending and on Standard you need to 100% the whole “Reports” area (essentially 100% the entire game as every character). because that’s so time consuming it’s easiest to just beat the whole game as all 3 characters on Proud Mode and make sure to get every Xehanort Report (the story hands you most of them but a couple are in chests. if you beat the character’s story without all of their reports you just have to go get the reports you’re missing and redo the final boss you don’t need to start the whole game over)
Forgot that proud mode makes you get all stickers along with xehanort report. For once, I am actually glad I played it on critical mode for all characters.
Holy crap after watching this for the 100th time I just realized that the reason that Sora and Riku didn't see Aqua here is that she arrived there after the events of KH2. While they were fighting Xemans and all that stuff she was fighting the heartless and Red Eyes etc. Also, Ansem the Wise was sent to the realm of darkness after the machine exploded and sent him there and eventually he stumbled onto the beach after Sora and Riku escaped and Aqua stumbled upon him after that. I am so slow.
Aqua met sora when he was a kid and she said she been wandering around in the darkness for a long time. Seeing this for the first time 1 one day before Kingdom Hearts 3 is breathtaking. I never knew all this stuff happened in Birth By Sleep. I never unlocked the secret ending.
Birth By Sleep is how I got really got into Kingdom Hearts and into gaming in general. It was the first Kingdom Hearts game I ever heard of and watched. I remember watching a play through of this when I was just a little kid every day and it was a great experience to me. It made me happy, sad, etc. As a 14 year old teenager, I’m starting to catch up with the other games as well. Thank you Square Enix for making such a great franchise and I’m so hyped for Kingdom Hearts 3 in January 29!
I started on the 1st one when i was 8 or 9 i think friend named kairi introduced me to it which i found funny cuz he was a dude lol im 24 now still can remember playing like it was yesterday 😌
Literally missed this entire thing somehow despite playing the final episode. It added so much context to things that I figured were going to be shown later but weren’t until I found this.
Having just finished BBS FM for the first time, going through the whole KH series for the first time. I had finished the 3 stories but didn't get this secret episode/ending. Looking up the requirements and just... No. I don't have the time or mental energy to do that now. So I'm watching this now. However at some point I will be going through this series again and maybe then I'll work towards the secret endings and stuff.
Sora's name is very important not.only.because he is the main character. His name means sky which is arguably one of the most important things in the world
So, I beat the trinity game in standard mode. I collected all stickers, all Xehanort reports and gained the 9,999 unversed trophy. I wasn't expecting to play the final episode or even the secret movie. But after the credits, there they were. It took me by surprise!
this is the only secret ending i earned and it felt damn good. i've never played a game on the hardest setting before, forget beat it on the hardest setting.
Man !!! Talking about battling the darkness inside of your own heart, that a tough one even though if you lose yourself terra and ventus, your friend aqua never gave up on you guys. Talking about real friendship as a family bond, that is moving to me.
thank you for posting this! i finally got a PS4 recently and got the story so far so i can catch up on all the games I missed due to not having the right consoles. I just finished BBS but didn't unlock these and i was not about to replay all 3 characters again in critical lol, just trying to get the full story so I can finally get KH3. kinda frustrating that they make it so hard to unlock something that's this important to the story but at least we have TH-cam.. I'll have to break my habit of always playing in normal mode
Wow same here. Just got a ps4 in the mid of the pandemic. And finally got bbs done but no where near to unlocking this. Now on to I think its 2.8 with aqua
So...how does Aqua wind up in the realm of darkness? I finished her story and that didnt happen. Also, at the very beginning when Ven wakes up on the island...when exactly does that happen. Bit of a noob here, just got into the series
Soularous you have to beat Terra and Ven’s story modes as well, in order to unlock the Final Story Mode, which is mostly just a final battle that carries over from your save data from Aqua’s Story. The Secret episode requires you to beat all the story modes on hard difficulty and finding all the secret reports. As for the part about Terra waking up Ven, that didn’t actually happen. That whole scene focused on character’s hearts, as they await Sora to set things right. Ven is still sleeping, and Terra is still possessed, but their hearts are awaiting Sora to rescue them.
Thanks for the reply! And about the waking up scene: I meant the scene at the very beginning of the game, where Ven is asleep and summons a keyblade, and the old guy in the cloak is all like: 'A keyblade!'
Soularous I think it is what happens after Ven lost his heart, and Vanitas was born. Xeonhart was taking Ven to Eraqus, in hopes of restoring Ven, so he can try forging Ven with Vanitas, and form the X blade. It is kind of confusing, I know.
Soularous Unfortunately, you have to beat all 3 modes on hard difficulty. There are different ways to unlock the secret episode, but it is not quick or easy. However, Hard mode is the ironically the easiest way to unlock it. Try searching up “how to unlock the Secret Episode in Kingdom Hearts BBS”.
There was something different about playing this when it came out. All the characters who'd been lost saying Sora's name, and then finally seeing him again...realizing that the pieces were in place for KH3 to happen. I'll never forget it
Thanks for uploading this. After beating all three stories + the final episode on standard I only had about 3,800 unversed killed. I saw a guide online on the fastest way to get that remaining 6k kills and did the math to realize it would probably take another 45-60 minutes (or more) for me to do that. As much as much as I would like to have played out this last bit myself, I didn't see the point in doing unfun grinding for an hour if I can watch the final 30 minutes of cutscene online.
Curious about the gameplay halfway through the video, in the realm of darkness... How did you get to that? After I fought Xehanort/Terra, it was a bunch of cutscenes and then the game was over.
Kevin Church It's tricky to get to. It requires beating Aqua, Terra, and Ventus's story modes on hard difficulties each, along with finding all of Xeonhart's Secret Reports. This Secret Episode is only available in the Final Mix versions of the game. The original version for PSP has no way of unlocking the secret episode. For North America, only the PS3 version of BBS from 2.5 HD Remix, and the PS4 version of BBS from 1.5 and 2.5 HD Remix have the secret episode available to unlock.
AK Beachez Wow, I can’t believe I never realized that. I wonder if the writers will remember that? That would be a bittersweet ending. I wonder if rules will somehow be changed or broken in the end? It would be a shame to see Kairi separated from Sora and Riku. She doesn’t remember her home, and expressed how she likes their island. To see her be forced to take the throne of Radiant Garden would be sad. Then again, I don’t think Radiant Garden needs a princess/queen. Leon’s restoration crew did a good job at trying to restore the place, and they didn’t even have a ruler at that point. I’d say the place was in good hands with Leon’s crew.
But then again, Aqua cast a spell on Kairi explaining it would return her to those who she is close to. Something like that. So there is a chance. We'll all know in the END.
This cutscene is everything. Everyone who said his name are exactly the people that’s in that report inside of Sora that needs him. Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Namine, Roxas, Xion…they were calling out to him
My most hated game in the series has one of the best secret episodes/ending in the series. It honestly kinda reminds me of why Sora is one of my favorite characters. It shows how many connections he's made, all the worlds, friends, and people he's helped, and it just feels really beautiful overall. It's strange as BbS is my least favorite of all the KH games, especially in story. It shows that the writers have some juice in them. Just that scene with Ansem the Wise and Aqua was amazing, and I nearly shed a tear from it. EDIT: I no longer stand by this BbS is now my 4th favorite behind Re:coded, KH3 and KH2 respectively. I do stand by Blank Points being one of the best scenes of the entire franchise, though.
How am i supposed to know if I didn't like a game if I didn't play it? :u ya gotta do multiple playthroughs to understand and solidify your thoughts on a game. It took me a 2nd playthrough of 2FM to realize it's one of my favorites
darrin42 I feel that they didn't have enough interaction. Their friendship was told to me. With Sora and his friends, you can tell they're friends. That extends to Donald and Goofy, too. I love 0.2 because Aqua has more interaction and you really see how lost she is
Exactly. BBS was too melodramatic for its own good I thought, and the friendship between Aqua, Terra, and Ven was all telling and very little showing. Aqua standing there for the 100th time with her hand over her heart making a speech about her friends doesn't move me at all because I was never SHOWN a believable friendship. Actually funnily enough justapancake did a pretty spot on video about this whole issue, and it explains why Aqua's struggles in 0.2 are much more compelling.
Something Xemnan says to Terra really struck me. "You are just one of the many roads I might choose to take." This remainds me of a popular song in my country. It has a line that goes somehow like this: "Every single one of us is a road to somewhere. But the wisdomn is to understand, who to follow far and when to turn away. And to know that by walking someone else, you can never jorney/travel along yourself."
All this time I've never stopped thinking about that scene where einzo looks back at xehanort. That character has always stuck out to me from the moment you saw his broken tombstone. There's gotta be something more to him.
28:10 if you pause at the right time when Sora sits there on Destiny Islands then you can see that Square actually Foreshadowed KH3's ending the whole time.

i started with the first game? damn im old. im only 26! xD
+Alzack Connel 358/2 Days.
@@justarandomguyontheinterne681 im Right there with ya. Ive been here since the first game as well. Im just replaying them all until the kh3
I started on the 1st one when i was 8 or 9 i think friend named kairi introduced me to it which i found funny cuz he was a dude lol im 24 now still can remember playing like it was yesterday 😌
I need all the secret movies to be redone in the unreal engine
YES
Deep Dive would look amazing!
it's epic how when Kairi comes the background music grows more intense
I swEAR if my homegirl Aqua doesn’t get some justice and the closure that she deserves I’m gonna fight 😐
John Christopherson she did
7:35 - His name… is… (unknown)
Me - His name… is… Sora.
Let’s be real; Aqua is one of the ultra main characters of KH itself.
Yeah the ‘main’ guys of each of the 3 trios are definitely sora, Aqua and roxas
@@connorlego5229 wonder if we can also count the character we play as in the app game he/she has to be connected to the mainline story somehow
@@notavailable8201 look until they appear in the console games I don’t care about UX’s protag, which they have.
We Need to save Her give us 28 more days.
...
Literally missed this entire thing somehow despite playing the final episode. It added so much context to things that I figured were going to be shown later but weren’t until I found this.
Idk what kh3 will bring to the table but I hope it has elements of a happy ending and a sad ending
Well boy it did.
this comment tho. like he knew that it would have that ending.
Yepp both happy ending and sad ending
Even More Questions is what
oooooof. HOW DID YOU KNOW
Arguably the best cutscene in kh series
Thank you for all your hard work to get this and for uploading it for the rest of us.
Thank you.
This scene always gets me tearing up. The music also helps make it that way cause it's SO GOOD!
Anyone else watching all the past endings to help solve the mystery with luxu and the master of masters? Aqua is also stunning
*cries in too late*
Just Junior so many pussys play this game.
TrackForField
And you felt the need to express that in my comment... why?
TrackForField
You must be as dumb as a rock if you think i meant actual crying lmao
@@TrackForField If you're bothered by this type of thing, why don't you just go? Everyone, including you, would be better off.
This to me is the best ending out of all the kh’s. It connects most of the dots and it shows that they will be joined together once more
Why am I crying in the club right now?
Having just finished BBS FM for the first time, going through the whole KH series for the first time. I had finished the 3 stories but didn't get this secret episode/ending. Looking up the requirements and just... No. I don't have the time or mental energy to do that now. So I'm watching this now. However at some point I will be going through this series again and maybe then I'll work towards the secret endings and stuff.
6:10 Ansem's Speech of Epicness
Saw this in my recommensation and I forgot how awesome the voice of ansem is. Holy shit.
Sora will connect to everyone will return
this is the only secret ending i earned and it felt damn good. i've never played a game on the hardest setting before, forget beat it on the hardest setting.
This honestly was what I thought of when I seen the trailer. I can't even express my joy enough.
Edit: The Smash Trailer for clarification.
Ikr? Thats why I'm here!
Man !!! Talking about battling the darkness inside of your own heart, that a tough one even though if you lose yourself terra and ventus, your friend aqua never gave up on you guys. Talking about real friendship as a family bond, that is moving to me.
Hearing nearly all of the KH main cast say Sora's name gives me chills.
27:44 that my friends is how 0.2 was leaked long ago.
This hits different after the Smash Bros Ultimate reveal
So many prayed for Sora to be in Smash. To save them from everlasting darkness. He answered.
Little Ienzo Purifies my heart.
But this scene... or ending.
*_it hurts._*
*_so much._*
Little Ienzo.
Stephen Reed you mean ienzo
Marina Adams thank you for fixing my past self
11:37 And then Sora ended up in Smash.
Who came here after playing 0.2 Birth By Sleep- A Fragmentary Passage?
“Zero Point”
“A fragmentary passage”
NOMURA YOU CLEVER BASTARD
thank you for posting this! i finally got a PS4 recently and got the story so far so i can catch up on all the games I missed due to not having the right consoles.
Here for the same reason
SpongicX Also, to unlock the final story, do I need to play on a high difficulty? Or just beat all 3 stories?
28:15 did... did that just hint at the ending of Kingdom Hearts 3 where SPOILER Sora disappears from reality. OMG, I think that was foreshadowing.
There was something different about playing this when it came out. All the characters who'd been lost saying Sora's name, and then finally seeing him again...realizing that the pieces were in place for KH3 to happen. I'll never forget it
I like how he says “scholarly”
7:34
guess who will be the one
joining in smash
Sora will save Everything yes
Is it weird that I think it’s hilarious that Ansem and Ienzo are holding hands and eating ice cream? 😂
Ienzo is a little kid bu that point which makes it more wholesome
And the flavour is... Sea salt
Now he's just wasted energy in a dead Riku replica
I miss you Leonard nimoy and you really are my xehanort always r.i.p Leonard nimoy
Sora/Ven/Roxas will save you Aqua!
Probably Sora
thats a very fun tag team
For sex ;) lol
rjc523 umm
How could Ven do it when Aqua is the only one who knew where he was sleeping?
SpongicX Damn, I wish I knew that earlier. I just finished all 4 on Normal
Kevin Church I know your pain, the same annoyance happened to me.
Kevin Church all 4? What is the fourth one?
The final episode
Aqua, such courage... Kingdom hearth 3, the final chapter.... ❤️💫
0:44 Terra wasn't kidding when he said this
If all doors between worlds are lock everything will go back to the way it was. That would mean Kairi Would return to Radiant Garden.
Waoh..
Sharp thinking ya got there!
Maybe... just maybe... what lead Kairi to Destiny Islands was Aqua's connection to Ven?
Wow wait ! You've got a point !
I heard Sentinel Prime in Xehanort. Well done, Leonard Nimoy, you were brilliant. R.I.P 1931 - 2015
The grind to get that ending was more than worth it for me
This cutscene is everything. Everyone who said his name are exactly the people that’s in that report inside of Sora that needs him. Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Namine, Roxas, Xion…they were calling out to him
Nice little reference they did when they "sora" notice looking up at the sky. ;)
EDIT: I no longer stand by this
BbS is now my 4th favorite behind Re:coded, KH3 and KH2 respectively. I do stand by Blank Points being one of the best scenes of the entire franchise, though.
GokensLetsPlays *Then dont play it then!* (dont mean to get angry)
Imma keep it real with you, chief: as far as playability and smooth combat goes, BBS is probably the best full KH game out so far.
By the time I heard about the requirements for the secret ending, I was already on the last world of my last character
2:06 Man, the Ansem/Terranort model looks so handsome in this scene, wish we had more scenes with that version of Terra, love his hair.
Aqua's proud of her son.
1:06
Watching ppl playing KH3 now, who’re also surprised by the cutscene after the final boss, makes me think: “Guess they never saw the secret ending of Birth By Sleep”...
devastated i had to come to youtube just to watch this ending... its beautiful too. i only realised i had missed something in birth by sleep with i played DDD and read the chronicle, there was a whole paragraph of events that i did not see. sucks the developers hid so much of the real ending. oh well.... thank youtube. now i can understand more of the story
28:15 Did they spoil KH3's ending 9 years before it came out!?
The trailer for birth by sleep spoiled the final battle, so...
