@mayettemaniaul621 My people call this carne guisada(gee sa da). The only difference is that we use bitter orange instead of calamansi( calamansi is something we do not have) , and we do not cook the potatoes before the meat. This is a recipe that I must try cooking it this way.

In my opinion, I will not put a carrot, potatoes, and atsal in my mechado. Parang afritada, menudo at kaldereta ang dating. Gusto ko yung sa Bisaya style doon sa amin sa Surigao del Norte/Sur. ✌️

Try to precooked the potatoes and carrots, it will stay firm not overcooked 😊
