the overwhelming sentiment in most of the comments is that Tank and the Bangas, Tyler the Creater and Noname should've definitely been on this list. Not even an honorary mention. To be fair though, there are a lot of really good performances on the Tiny Desk series. It's near impossible to pick a top 20 much less a top 10

DERMOT KENNEDY SHOULD DEFINITELY BE ON THIS LIST!!! used caps to get your attention hahah. But he is seriously one of the most underrated artists out there, and an excellent live performer.

The greatest thing about Tiny Desk is that they host such a variety of musicians from different genres and styles that any "Top Ten" list is guaranteed to disappoint pretty much everyone. XD
T-Pain has a fantastic voice, but I personally didn't know that until he won The Masked Singer. I wish he'd do more songs like he did on the show. His rendition of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" is so moving.
I enjoyed the list, found some new names I've never heard before. More importantly, let's give props to the concept. It's great to hear music stripped down to it's purest form. Sure some groups introduce some spectacle, but there's something soothing hearing it in the bare-bones format where there isn't anything separating you from the artist.

Love that St. Paul is on the list. How Leon Bridges only got an honorable mention against some of these others is beyond me. I think I would have added Corinne Bailey Rae. Her presence on Tiny Desk is better than other concert clips or videos that she has. Lastly, they should have given props to the sound engineer. That guy is fantastic delivering that quality in an office space.
Tpain can sings so effortlessly I feel like he uses auto tune just to play around with sound and make something different.

There are about 500 tiny desk sessions. Doubt WM saw them all. But then you could just go to NPR's channel and sort them by popularity. My personal favorite is Ledisi though.

THIS IS THE BEST TH-cam CHANNEL!! NPR has created such a winning formula that I can think of a totally different top 10 tiny desk performances and not feel I was giving up anything in quality. I've found so many new, exciting artists this way....anyone who says today's music is crap, obviously hasn't watched any of these performances!! I hope NPR never stops this series....

I think that Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes is one of the most memorable Tiny Desk concerts I have experienced. I hadn't heard of her before, but it was a compelling performance.

This is a dangerous topic to come up with a Top 10 list. I think Tank and the Bangas, St. Vincent, August Greene, and Bilal ft. The Roots should have been on here. Also the Pixies and Christian Scott a Tunde Adjuah should have made it on this list. I was definitely disappointed. At least Anderson Paak. and the Free Nationals made it on. And I’m also confused as to why Tyler the Creator wasn’t on here... Nice try, I guess. ‘B’ for effort!
Elania Blue...it all opinion and highly subjective. You mentioned my top 2 Tank and the Bangas and The Roots/Bilal. Tyler gets an honorable mention and so does Anderson Paak on my list. The comments have produced some people i will check out so did this list,Broken Bones and Magnetic Zeros. Tiny Desk is easily ny favorite thing on You Tube maybe the internet period.

It was only released a few weeks earlier than this video but superorganism deserves to atleast be on this list. An very sample-heavy technology dependent band puts on an amazing preformance. They litterally bite apples as instruments man its an amazing preformance i love to come back too.

I think the main quality of tiny desk is the fact that a lot over over produced and over edited artists get to show what their music is like without all the label BS. Adelles music is already so stripped back and soulful all her performance did is solidify something we already knew. For a lot of people this is their first time experiencing certain artists music so organically. Thats the only reason I think Adelle isnt higher.
