Hey there, Ive bought this route and its a 100% worth the money, you should be a guard on it, the driver even buzzes back!
By the way if you do be a guard you need to press local door open when shutting the doors (only works if all doors are already open)
This stops your door from closing but everyone else's close
🤩🤩
Great vid & a heads up you say Fylde almost like file with a D on the end 😅
Another great pacer video Joe. 👍
Thanks 👍
super bouncy, must be single wheel boogie.
Alas it’s because there is no suspension, the body is connected directly to the chassis
@@lukethomas.125 no pniaumatic bags?
@@viliusr.8792 correct. No suspension or absorbing whatsoever
@@lukethomas.125 cheaper to make plus tahose bounces and vibrations good for cracking kidney stones.
This and Niddertalbahn make all their other routes look pathetic. The level of care and detail in those two is off the charts.
The two mentioned are fantastic!
What is the significance and/or use of the skippers when compared to other Pacer liveries?
Units 142015 to 142027 were delivered brand new to the South West of England for use on local services in and around Devon/Cornwall. Being worked on the Western Region the use of Mock Chocolate and Cream made sense given those colours history with the Great Western Railway and BR Western Region beforehand. As for being called Skippers, it was the winning entry to name the units in a completion that was held.
Just from a quick search, it seems it is Western Region Chocolate & Cream. So, guessing some of these made their way north for whatever reason
@@TheBritishAcea combination of reliability, issues with excessive noise from the flange squeal that caused complaints from passengers and residents, the wear to the wheelsets from going around the tight curves meant they had to be taken out of service to have the tyres reprofiled, would struggle up some gradients up some routes. Also meant that earlier dmu's they were meant to replace had to be pressed back in to service aswell as put on loco hauled services using coaching stock wherever it could be found. In the end it was decided to send them up north with their sister units.
@@Mytimekid Very informative! Thankyou.
@@TheBritishAce Ah, ok. Thankyou!
How busy is this route, Joe?
I'd say mediocre busy, but if you have all the other BR routes it becomes quite lively
Blown away by the details on this route , stood at Preston station and a 47 used it’s horn entering and leaving the station then a guard blew a whistle before departure.
Those little details really do add up!
@@TheBritishAce plus with the announcements , huge variety of liveries and station details it feels like JT have set the new standard for DLC routes
