DIY How to add a light switch to an existing light switch

Welcome to Good 3nough. In this video I show the process I took to add a new light switch to an existing light switch. The new light switch controls a light fixture in a room that does not have any lights.
Keep in mind I am not a professional contractor or a licensed contractor. Please use this video as an informational guide.

Why did you do all that work to remove the outlet box while the hole was still small? Just cut the hole bigger first, so you have more room to work.

Thanks for the vid but not something I'd recommend watching to learn how to do things correctly. Stripped wire too much exposed inside box, using scissors, pencils work really well and the gap on the left side of the light. YIKES!!!

You shouldn't use scissors to strip the wire insulation.

I was forced to use a scissor because my wire stripper was not strong enough to strip these wires.

@@good3nough947 You can adjust the tension on those, so they 'grip' tighter

You can use the youtube settings to slow it down.
