    Thank you bro, this is just the video I needed. My (dad's) SL500 was left to sit for like 2 years and the polarizing film crusted and was essentially useless. At least now I know how to remove the unit, next thing to figure out is which way the film goes onto the screen.

    Is it equally as easy to replace the factory unit with an aftermarket stereo? Is there an installation harness for this car?

    My dads radio had the same problem, replaced the fuse and it turns on now but theres no sound. Everythings plugged in correctly. Any ideas? TIA

    Hi my head unit is making a annoying sound through the speakers i have to take the fuse out for the command to stop.. does anyone know how to fix 😢

      Yes this means one of your speakers is bad, or more likely is touching ground
