This was a great review, thank you! The problem I'm having is that I can open it on my desktop, and did your amazing tutorial that way, but I've decided I want to use my laptop instead. I've plugged in the teleprompter to my laptop, however, I can't actually activate the hub on my laptop. I see the icon, it has downloaded properly the only thing it seems I can do is be re-routed back to the main elgato site when I press "settings" or "connect a device" isn't my device automatically connected by plugging it in?
I'm having an issue with my prompter. In the Content section of the app, I have clicked on the Text option, but not of my script appears on the prompter. It appears to be stuck in display mode. Am I missing a step here?
Are you saying you have copied your script in after you’ve chosen the text option? Have you got camera hub up to date? See if there’s any updates to do. Otherwise the old “off and on again” may help.

@@RefreshCinemaHow did you fix it? I have the same issue. I have two Studio Displays and now the Prompter, but when I am on Text I do not see the Text on the prompter, it still behaves as a display.
@@andredei8492 try restarting with the monitor still plugged in. It also, seems to work better if it's plugged in normally, aka not using a usb adaptor, like I was at first. Keep in mind, I'm on a Mac. Apparently, the latest OS update makes things difficult. If restarting a few times doesn't work, then Idk. All I can do is wish you the best.
Hello I am unable to make any changes as soon as I click on camerahub the letters take over my mac and I am unable to exit with out removing usb. How can I exit to make changes?
I cannot make a video on a problem I haven't faced. Sorry this is happening to you. Maybe reach out to Elgato support to get them to help troubleshoot for you.
@@Liessshy I understand. Apparently quite a few people have problems with Camera Hub connecting. I did find an answer on Reddit, fortunately. I tried contacting Elgato support, by the way, and they're basically missing in action (don't answer phones, don't return calls, etc.).
I found it. My Prompter works now. The screen driver that I downloaded in accord with Elgato's instructions (DisplayLink, as Elgato has now posted on this thread) did not have the necessary permissions under Privacy and Security (macOS Sonoma). When I fixed that, the screen jumped to life and the Prompter Tab worked.

That's my question too. By looking at the software in the video it doesn't seem like you can configure the text direction

How did you get all those controls on your Stream Deck for the Prompter? I downloaded Elgatos plugin for the Camera Hub but it only had a few options?
It’s done through the stream deck software, not camera hub

Unfortunately, this is of no use. The Camera hub software won't even connect with the prompter! How about a video discussing how to fix that problem?

@@roadrunnermag Interesting. In my case I just changed the Multiple displays selection from Duplicate to extend.
