All Nagas showed solidarity by not continuing hornbill festival last year due to Oting Incident. There was no such thing as Eastern or western Nagas then. We all give our respect and cancelled the remaining days, which was a big blow to state exchequer, tourist (both domestic & foreign) and to the organisers as well. We were Nagas then. But now we're seeing what our Eastern brothers are doing.

Without Eastern people Hornbill festival still going colourfull one. Naga will be Nagas even if some tribes refused to participate, still more beautiful and cheerful, all Naga cultures and traditions are colourfull and almost same, regret is those who miss it and must be repented. What’s there for people to see after the opening ceremony? They come to see Nagaland as a whole not only Sumi,Ao,angami,lotha etc.. sales won’t go up with only few tribes lol.
Hornbill Festival has nothing to do with Frontier Nagaland by ENPO. Hornbill Festival was meant to show the world about unique Naga tradition and culture while frontier Nagaland was meant for asking special economic development from Govt of India not from state govt. The eastern naga has to remember where the whole Naga sacrifice n stand with the eastern naga of last year Oting incident despite it has nothing to do with hornbill festival investing crores of rupees to let the world know more about nagas. The other nagas will go ahead without cancelling avoid embarassment from the world and can be seen very successful and more vibrant to display the united nagas when others nagas refrain from participating. Still the door is open.
Maybe just that the Frontier Naga wants to speak in an open air. And let the Nagas knows how good they have been in the past time, the good Forward Tribes, it is Painful and feels Contumeliou hearing the stories they have treated.
Government have cores to spend to showcase our culture to the world but not a penny for the state development. Zero development nothing have improved in Nagaland so before we spend so much money for festival that can be afforded only by the rich my humble suggestion is i wish government could first constructs a proper road first atleast forget about other underdeveloped fields.

For me i thought this year hornbill fest will be bored without Enpo tribes but I'm surprise that this year one has more energy and fun. Enpo tribes now we already see that it's going on without a problem so you don't have to participate anymore.
