Such a fab set of minifigures, I particularly love the ones which are a tribute to old retired themes from my childhood. It's great that we have these apps to track down the figures we want too, it would be very frustrating (and expensive!) getting lots of doubles you don't want.
Is there a way to identify them by the numbers next to the data matrix code or are they random? I tried using the scanner in store but it was so slow a staff member was wondering what I was doing I’m only looking the Orion from this set before the D&D series comes out
It certainly is a useful app, I was in my local B&M store a few months ago and there was a bloke with his son looking at the series 25 minifigures. The son was getting a couple of the figures and I heard him say to his dad that he hopes he doesn’t get ones he’s already got, I said to the dad I’ve got an app on my phone that will tell you what’s in there, when. I scanned them the dad said he would have to get the app as it’s very useful. As good as the app is and it probably tells you faster than feeling the foil pack, especially as I’m not very good at working out the different pieces, I do miss the that part of finding the minifigures you want.
Great to see that those codes also work for series 26. I am surprised though, I would have expected Lego to remove them after Series 25. Did they put the code on purpose to prevent people from tearing up the boxes in stores? Just as technical side note, the codes on the mini figures are actually not QR codes, these are Data Matrix codes.
I thought Lego may have removed them as well, however as you said, so many people were ripping the Marvel boxes apart that I suspect that is the reason the sets can now be identified by the scan codes.
@@iainsbricks, in most CMF series I find more than half don’t really appeal to me. Sometimes there are torso prints I like or hair pieces I might use but in this series I don’t really see much of that. The one torso piece in this series I quite like and would reuse in making a custom minifigure is the alien tourist, the only trouble is the dual moulded arms with the grey lower half would spoil the use with a custom. I know I could remove the arms and replace with plain yellow but then you lose the arm printing for the shirt sleeve.

Great video, but far too much work for me and in all fairness not my cup of tea … prefer sealed boxes sets!! 😂 Quick update on Milton Keynes Brick Festival, I decided not to go in the end but the people who I sell at these events with did … it wasn’t great mate, no backing tables as we knew, but all the tables were so close together, middle of a shopping centre … with an actual LEGO store nearby, not many sales on the day due to none LEGO people entering it, even if they did pay for a ticket and all in all pretty shite is my impression!! Hi Lee. I quite like some of the minifigures, but always hated the blind bags in the past. Glad you can find out what's inside now. I've seen a few messages in Hillians Bricks Discord channel about the MK event today. I'm not booked in for September, so will avoid
@@leeshurmer7063 Yes, so there were at least 2 other Discord people selling at the MK event today and they were sharing pictures and giving regular updates. Seems it went OK in the end. Not the greatest sales wise, but definitely not the worst.
@@iainsbricks Interesting!! I’m glad I stayed away, they sold sets for me so I’m thankfully to earn money whilst staying at home … but due to the lack of space I only gave them 20 sets to sell as well as there stuff!! Roll on Birmingham next month!!
This isn't 100% accurate, I scanned at the store and still got doubles and missed out on two. The boxes that scanned as the astronaut and space tourist had other minifigs inside. Those were the two i wanted most!!!
I found an android nanny hair piece in the bottom of my basket grocery shopping today so I wanna go back and get that specific one just bc she has a baby minifig 🥲

Yes, there are some good figures on the latest minifigures series.
Nothing worse then getting lots of doubles of the same figure

I never bought many figs when it was foil pack. Much prefer it now they have scannable boxes.

Does this work for the 6-pack box to ensure you get the full set?
I've not tried it on a 6 pack box, but I would assume you would need to open the box first before scanning the individual boxes inside.
