yes its a shame birds in cage but if let out he be killed by other birds what has to happen like any animal or bird leave them in their own country so they stay free.
I also have a spanish timbrado, but he's just hopping around and eating but no singing.. (when i got him, every single minute for two weeks).. suddenly he stopped. Would it help if i played this video everyday? If i play it now he does not respond at all. Your idea..? Great video, very cool and a great bird! 👍🏻
sb.marko the first two weeks he was singing everyday almost every hour. He started singing again, i covered the cage ,he is in, at night. Seems to work. Thnx!!

Is it ok to have a large cage for a single male canary? Like 50x40x30 cm? Or a smaller cage would suit better?
I think larger is better ;)

I feel like you can never have a cage too big. Birds want to fly and spread their wings! Give them as much room as possible!
