Generally the rule of thumb, is never going past eye-level. More specially, for overhead rods, the fish is meant to be fought with the rod pointing down into the water, and pulling upwards like your elbowing the sky and then reeling in on the way down when pointing the rod tip back into the water. Japanese rods generally are the ones that allow you to pump the fish up at your waist level just like he was doing in the video. Other rods might be too delicate to pump, so its always a risk. Overhead rods, have a different apex compared to regular spinning rods, as their apex occurs at different angles on the rod which affects whether or not you can pump the rod.
Thanks a lot for your expert advice on how it should have been done, highly appreciate your comment and will definitely follow your suggestions while fighting a big fish next time. Thanks once again 🙏🏻
The pitching was too high, if you are using a slow fall rod, never bring it upper to your shoulders, you are in critical condition if you bring it higher than your shoulders. But if you are using a Fast rod with high pe rating, it wont be a problem for a fish like that..
Climax scene 🎬 beautifully captured . Better luck next time ❤️
Good luck and keep safe 👍🙏🙏
Keep safety while you fishing ❤️
