@@stevenchavez7214 That is cool. I didn't know who they were that year. The show was very new and unpolished at that time. It only ran about a year or so. We saw it on two trips. The second version was better. I am so glad you liked the video. I kept those HI8 tapes and the camera safe for 23 years, and just got around to moving them from tape to digital. Thank you, your kind comments makes all that work worth while.
@@nighthawkvs that’s impressive to keep the camera for 23 years and moving from tape into digital. Have you ever heard of a magical walt disney world christmas day parade 1997 it did show goosebumps horror land fright show there. It on TH-cam both full video and a playlist too.
huh, is this the live on-stage show that those commercials advertised on the VHS Tape or was this something else? Thank you so much showing this piece of Goosebumps history I always wanted to go see this as a kid but sadly when I asked my parents they broke it to me that it happened a year after i was born & that they probaly don't do it anymore which made me sad & blew my mind on how old the show/tapes were.
You are very welcome. It only lasted from October 8, 1997, to November 1, 1998. We got to see it about twice in that period. I was in my 40’s then. lol They kept trying to refine it and it just never developed into a full Disney level show. There was also a mirror maze next to the show where after the show the monsters went into and hid to scare you as you walked through.
omg i remember my sister got picked to participate in this. When they put her in the box and I heard the screaming, I thought it was real and she died!!! 😂😂 I specifically remember they gave her and the other kid a Haunted Mask to wear during the show too. Between this and Alien Encounters I got the living hell scared out of me at Disney!
Disney doesn't like people sitting on the ground for some reason. I am not sure why. Perhaps people get stepped on or mad when someone stands in front of them. I have also seem people open umbrella at Fantasmic and the cast members go crazy telling them to close them. I don't understand that one either.
@@colanderstudios9682 The show was pretty rough. I think it had two makeovers and didn’t last a full year before it was gone. It was a fair attempt that didn’t come up to Disney Standards. IMHO
9:06 Curly the Skeleton: Happy Halloween!
I thought the show was ok but it didn't last that long. :(
Those three Monsters of Goosebumps just like Walt Disney World!
Yepper.
I can’t believe they had this at Disney land
For a short time. :)
Amazing video it’s pretty cool also it look HD with the video in 1080p . I bet you had a fun time.
We always have a fun time at Disney. :)
@@nighthawkvs that’s cool man it was a cool watch in your video also I am a big goosebumps fan this got me interested.

lol Yeah the original Alien Encounters was pretty cool. :)
Why doesn’t everyone just sit down and enjoy themselves? Why stand up when you can sit down and enjoy it

All I heard in the beginning was Jumanji and Gremlins soundtrack in the background
It was strange for sure. Just stuck in the back on a dock. Didn't last long.
@@nighthawkvsWhen I was a kid I remember hearing the Mission Impossible theme while walking in the park. And I recognized it from Shrek 2.
Cool. @@Sorcerer-SMC

Take me back

It almost seems like the audience doesn't care
People get really tired at Disney. lol

Why were they playing the Gremlins 2 theme? 0:19
Sadly I have no idea. I was not a follower of either them. Just saw this sow in MGM.
:)
I really dig this version of the theme
We got to see it twice I think in the year or so it ran. We thought it needed work, but was passable.
where was this at?
In the back streets area of MGM Studios. Kind of a loading dock area.
