Two boxes of the Brand New 2023 Topps Composite Football and 2023 Panini Select Football. One of these boxes gave us TWO Autos from one of the Hottest players right now! I really enjoyed the idea of Topps bringing back Topps Football but did not expect it to be in this format this year, but its still awesome to chase after some Awesome Strouds! Thanks for sharing!

Old school collectors like myself don’t care, it’s the “influencers” and TH-cam guys that care because it’s all about the money with you guys….you all pull good autos but are still not happy because it isn’t a rookie, especially in a predominately vet set where the odds aren’t the best.., or it’s unlicensed….it just blows my mind….the hobby sucks so bad now, ppl paying thousands for a numbered card over a patch auto of someone good? Make it make sense besides just making money on it….these kids at local shows buy something and then flip it ten minutes later..that’s not collecting. And every table at a card show has brand new overpriced retail garbage..that’s it! Nobody is happy with what they pull anymore unless it’s the top rookie or numbered out of 10, but when they get a decent pull, they STILL complain because it isn’t of said rookie…..the hobby is a prime example of influencing gone wrong..really sad to see..money hungry
Hit the nail on the head. It’s really moreso a reflection of our society always wanting the next best thing. Hence why players and products lose traction so quickly. It’s insane to me that players that just played 5-10 years ago such as Drew Brees have seemingly no value

I remember when sport card collecting was a hobby not a business. I started collecting cards in about 1980. Packs were under a dollar. The idea of a $1,000 box is crazy to me. No kid can realistically buy a box like that.
have you ever considered that those kids from 1980 grew up, and now have a lot of money and chase the feeling of being a kid again and spend big money on these boxes? nothing wrong with that. sure they may be pricing younger kids out, but those kids are hopefully joining in with their parents who are buying the boxes and enjoying the hobby together.
i'd be willing to bet that when you were buying packs in 1980 your parents didn't care to join in. so, i'd argue this may be better.
@@KantizEQC people my age are not chasing that feeling we got back in the 70s and 80s. Card collecting used to be more of a hobby for the general public but now it's more of a business than a hobby for the general public.

I got a select premier select rc Zay Flowers gold. Numbered to /10 out of a Mega box.

The Logos on NFL jerseys are small not as much as in NBA so its ok actually...those 2 Strouds are amazing man congrats!

One box has tons of Strouds, Levis, Young and Richardson rookies and autos. It also has a crapload of retired players and their autos. These cards are 100% unlicensed. That is it. The other box has cards for all current NFL players and rookies and XRCs for the top rookies in the 2024 draft. The product is 100% licensed. So my vote is for Select. Screw Topps/Fanatics and what they are doing to the hobby. At least Panini was smart enough to exclusive Caitlin Clark. I think she is the biggest talent for 2024.
Least he was semi up front that Normal buyers like us aren’t getting stroud autos every box that’s only for content creators

2 autos and a jersey for $1000. Good grief. That should be $100 not $1000.
Out of all the composite I have seen ripped that is the first CJ Stroud auto I have seen, let alone 2 of them!!! I'd say at least about 2 to 2 1/2 cases

Select is way better then no logo vet autos. I know there are 3 rookies autos in Topps not available in Select, but those players have alot of color worth $ in Select. Select is not about autos

Composite hands down. I pulled Bryce Young 9/150 autograph from a mega. Pulled a rpa /75 bryce young autograph from a hobby box. Some other nice numbered cards.
Topps Fanatics HAD TO put too many autos of the 4 rookie QBs in the product in order to SELL IT. So they don't care about rarity. Rarity will dictate price in the secondary market. They did the same with Chrome Basketball flooding the market with Wemby autos. The sad thing is that there will never be licensed rookie autos for these players.

There is no comparison! Select is licensed and Topps is not! Just like Topps Chrome Basketball is not licensed. The only reason Topps did this was to get the cash grab! After a month the Topps cards are going to drop in price just like the Leaf cards! You really can’t consider the Topps rookie cards as real rookies because they are not licensed.
I like select the best in retail but haven't gotten any hobby yet I like the topps don't get me wrong but it just reminds me of chronicles football and I'm not sure how the unlicensed will hold up later in value.
It's definitely an Interesting argument but for me Select is my favorite product besides bowman football so I will say Select but I like that topps is.all vets as I like to collect vets but the not licensed pushs me away

Topps composite is 440$ a box
I’ve had fun opening the composite boxes, I’m a newbie at this and don’t plan to be a toxic reseller. I just wanna see how far I can go with the small amount I decided to invest in this
The select design just makes them look like very off centered mis prints. Not a fan.

Remember guys Select, Prizm, Optic, Contenders, NT and Flawless will all DIE in 2027. So we got 3 more years of Panini releases and then Topps will take over. I will assume Panini will continue to produce unlicensed cards in 2027. Perhaps only retired players and/or players they can get under contract. We shall see. But 3 more years of the brands we love.

If you are looking for Pat Mahomes, Lamjack, Puka, Gibbs, or Joe Burrow you are not going to find those in the Topps/Fanatics product.

Two boxes, two Stroud autos for the TH-cam Fanatics hype machine. SHOCKER! Too bad all you guys on TH-cam who are bowing at the altar of Ruben are doing is hyping up Ruben's business even more for when he eventually cuts you all out and sells everything full retail on his new website once he has the licenses from Panini. How much are you making on Topps products right now? Not much because direct pricing is what, about $20 below what full retail is unless the product takes off like Chrome Basketball. I've been in this business long before you were even born. Mark my words, Ruben doesn't give a crap about any of you with shops.

Also the select logos are too big for the cards and draw too much attention away from the actual image and designs.
That select box was trash. I have NEVER liked panini! I like Upper Deck and Topps no panini or leaf for this guys

Panini is garbage. Quality is trash and everything is way overpriced. Also, not player worn patches...straight trash. I'd rather go with composite. Has a lot of players I watched growing up. On top of that. Chance at a Brady, Stroud or Richardson auto. Bryce Young is bootyhole so that would suck 😂
