+adam dow in the clydebank shopping centre scene... in the background. I'm joking about it being a big deal. I'm literally walking away with my brother and my dad. I remember when wee seen they were filming and my dad made sure we walked in the background. It was just a nice and daft memory.
Love "Still Game" interesting to see how these characters started out as part of a sketch show. Looking forward to the new series later this year. (2016)
Travelled from Sheffield to Glasgow to watch Still Game live, still watch it all on Netflix. Remember finding it way back when. Love it...would've done so much better in England if BBC didn't stick it on at 11pm on a Thursday!! Oh and, "John Wayne's an arsehole!!" 😂
bob thebuilder a few things change. These were like extreme versions of pensioners if you will, still game has the character slightly more realistic, still funny as fuck man and I'm not even Scottish. I'm Scouse but this show is class. Jack and navid are brilliant.
So with Jacks, the delivery seemed more forced and deeper. It was still like that in the first season, but it became more natural sounding over time. "Chewing the Fat" was a sketch show, and it's natural for things to change from a sketch
Still Game is a classic! And I'm glad they revamped it years later for a further few series, most comedies ruin it by doing that (Red Dwarf i'm looking at you!) but Still Game remained great content! Shame its done now
Anybody know a clip where one of them complains there's no head on his pint and the landlord puts a head on his pint? Can't find it.never watched this but saw this particular clip and near wet myself!
PLEASE HELP. I am looking for a particular "Chewin' the Fat" sketch. A guy comes home from work after being sacked and says he's having an existential crisis. His family then mock him from using a poncy phrase. Anyone know a link to this sketch?
These must be outcuts, as they were never shown on the actual TV series, Still Fame. They look OK too, so perhaps just removed to keep to time. And none of the episodes had the title 'Chewing some fat', either.
@@ronvlaarsvar6867 No episode called that, I checked on Google. And it's Chewing Some Fat. Not sure why anyone would want to see someone chew some fat, so that's probably why it never got shown.
@@10beanz what are you talking about?? chewin the fat was a show completely seperate from still game made before still game was made that had jack and victor show up sometimes
Is it just me or do alot of the old Chewin the fat gags seem to appear on Family guy, anyone think the guy that wrights it is stealing ideas via youtube.

All the great comedians, back to L&H and W C Fields, used to recycle skits with second thoughts and improvements. As long as they are genuine improvements, where is the harm? Mr Kiernan & Mr Hemphill are scintillating comedians of the old school. Their very hard work is much appreciated, particularly in these foul times. Stop picking holes.
Sorry but that doesn't explain your assertion the people who disliked this must have been English. Why cite English people when it could have been anyone..?
theres a big misconception that still game isnt liked south of the boarder but thats bollocks, its loved down here, The BBC dont show it enough this way on but theres thousands, if not millions who love it. have been a still game fan since i saw the first live video in the late 1990s. love still game, not so mutch chewing the fat but always watched it for the jack and victor stuff. Still game is the only tv show that you could take any single character from and give them their own series and it would work, even the characters that have only featured once or twice. cant wait for the new series. Starts 8th march 2018!
Isabelle Drennan Was never into chewing the fat, but when it’s spinoff Still Game came out, I’ve never loved a tv series more. Chewing the fat discontinued in 2005 as more people were watching the newly established Still Game, and I can definitely see why.
I am so glad to have found these . After ' still game' I still pine for a bit of Jack and Victor.
Just so everyone knows, that wee person in the background in the Clydebank shopping centre clip, wearing the hideous mustard coat, was meeeeeeeeeee!!!

Yeah after season 2
From what I know, Greg lived in Canada for some time so his accent had a bit of Canadian to it.

Its chewin' the fat. jack and victor used to be a sketch in chewin' the fat, then it was made into a show.
