One of the best historical dramas ever.... Perfect chemistry... Both main leads are so smart, talented and they they were undeniably perfect working partner for each other...
Well what the hell did Li Qian expect? He and his father bullied, mistreared, and inprisoned his wife on rumors and scant evidence on the massacre that happened. She had to escape and run back to the Palace and royal granny for freedom and protection. They are damn lucky she didn't squeal on them. They would have been inprisoned, beheaded, and everything confiscated. Divorce would have been a moot point. Yeah, we would have loved for them to take that scant evidence to court in front of the Emperor. He would have had fun asking about the investigation and more evidence and what progress they made. Bwah! It's just a thought that why would the Princess want to carry a child from a man who treated her so badly and blackened her family name? The gall of him to get mad at her for considering aborting the child and why she would do that. Pfftt! How did he and his dad get their positions in the military. I assume it wasn't from any IQ test..
Baoning is not a woman who will impulsively abort her baby because she is angry with her husband.... She is capable and independent person... So even without her husband she can brought up a child...

Ok, for the record, I am against abortion (mainly because I'm sure it'll be abused by most women), but having a baby won't reassure the success of a relationship - married or not - like Li Qian believed.
However, Baoning is one smart cookie that is quite a breath of fresh air for a female lead in a history kdrama, specially a cdrama. Lols. I'm glad she didn't abort the baby. Poor Li Qian, though. He was heartbroken.

Cant u just watch the video without bringing up controversial things? At the end of the day its not YOUR body. Its us woman’s body. Are u pushing a baby out of your virgin and having to wait 9 months and go thru discomfort as you grow closer to your due date? Not all woman get pregnant because they simply dont care. A lot of times the baby is created due to a broken condom or birth control. How is it there fault that a condom broke or there birth control didnt work? Not everybody is financially ready for a child. Id rather people have an abortion then send more kids into foster homes. There are already enough kids in the system 🙄

@@migzzz3215 Not exactly the “worst”. In some dramas woman were for forced to take abortion pills or they had stuff put in there food. Plus during this time when u gave birth it was very likely you could die. If something went wrong they had little to do unlike now. Giving birth back then was a BIG deal. It could mean life or death. If u were apart of the consorts for the emperor a lot of times ur kid never made it to a grown adult due to all the scheming the consorts did and trying to get rid of the children. Abortion seems beneficial for those situations. Also some consorts where forced to become consorts. Not every woman wants to have a child with the person they dont love. The men had the right to sleep with them even if the girl didnt want it they were forced. It was not considered a problem. It was considered a “wifes duty”
