- Fun stuff, getting smacked around by fire Alatreon. Still 8s off my target, but my motivation to play is super low and didn't want to sink too much time into this. IG might be able to manage sub-5 on fire-active with an escaton skip and fast mount, even though it's not as favorable as ice (to see the current fastest ice-active IG run, check out dayoshi's run: • MHWI PC Alatreon IG 4... )
Probably my last run for Iceborne. I want to thank all of you who bothered watching my mediocre runs and subbed to my channel. This was originally just a place for me to upload and keep track of Behemoth PBs in base game, never thought it'd grow into anything more than that. Hope you all have a happy and safe holiday season.

I’ve learnt so much from this fight, watching it over and over. Now I can successfully solo him with IG, thanks a lot for sharing!
this is so weird, in an annoying way. I used a kjarr ice IG with full ice dmg the other day without any kinsect buffs or element (i forgor) and i didnt hit the elemental cap. I broke the head fast so my positioning and dmg output could not be that bad, but not enough elemental dmg.
And this guy just uses fatalis weapon with a elemental kinsect and hits it after 2-3min.

So the kinsect did enough element damage to let you survive the nova? I had no idea they could be that potent
How are u hitting the Elemental DPS checks when u have Dragon Blight the whole time??? Can the Kinsect REALLY do it all?
Yes. The elemental check is pretty easy to beat, and the slow bug is bonkers generally.

Haha I still remember when you first asked for tips in the comments of one of my earlier Alatreon runs. It's nice that there are so many IG runners now and so many talented players to learn from.
Very nice, I checked out Dayoshi's run as well and it is beastly. Fully understand if you're running low on fuel; thanks for your videos in all events, they've been an inspiration.

Hey, runnin in late, but how did you manage to avoid the first scream of alatreon without any ear plugs talent and all?
You're invincible for a second or two after you first land from the wingdrake as long as you don't move. So if Alatreon roars early you can just stand still and immune the roar. If he roars late you're forced to roll the roar since the immunity doesn't last long enough.

IG relies on the kinsect for elemental damage vs Alatreon and dragonblight doesn't affect the kinsect.
The element on the glaive literally doesn't matter. Pre-Fatalis IG speedruns of Alatreon used Lightbreak Press which doesn't even have any element on it.

that was a good run. how did you get both the kinsect ammo buffs from the slinger thorns?
Glaives with spirit and strength boost as their kinsect bonus get both the power and spirit buffs from all slinger ammo. The two most recent meta glaives (Fatalis and Lightbreak) both have it, which is very convenient.

That thrust combo does insane damage! The whole combo itself did almost 2k damage.
which kinsect are you using?? also you have a mod to zoom out your camera more than normal right?
Vezirstag III Forz with ice element on it. And no, camera settings aren't modded, it's natively available in game. All the mods I use in my runs are listed in the video descriptions.
What layered armor are you using? Looks amazing!

What kinsect are you using?
How are you getting the kinsect to almost act like a Pierce shot from a bowgun, getting it to do multiple ticks when returning to the hunter. You do it during the escaton judgement (4:40-45) and multiple other times
If your kinsect is recalled (on your arm) at the start of descending thrust, it pierces everything along a trajectory from your starting point to your finishing point.
