You strip off the outer leaf to reval a white fibrous flesh, (I've had the canned version) it's similar to jackfruit. The texture is 'meat' like, you can make any type of veggie dish from it.💞

In Puerto Rico we take the plantain peel it, cut it into about half inch slices, deep fry it lightly, remove it from the oil, flatten it by pressing down on it, then refry it again. You can sprinkle salt on it or put ketchup on top of it. We call this dish tostones. We call the plantain platano.

I was told that the core of the banana or plantain tree stem is edible. Also note that banana and plantains grow like weed once planted other banana trees would start popping up nearby. Agriculture is definitely a profitable business if you invest in some agricultural land by hire or purchase.

Terri after watching this video, I too know that nothing God created is wasted, so I researched about the “banana juice from the stem” you can blend it up and get the juice or juice it and consume it as a natural way to dissolve kidney stones. You can also cut the stems up very fine and mix with chicken feed for the chickens. ❤️
The purple thing is the banana flower they eat them in India, but it requires a lot of processing , look on TH-cam to find out how . That open tank of water is an ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes , I suspect the fish are to eat the lava not for humans to eat .

I was told that the core of the banana or plantain tree stem is edible.
Also note that banana and plantains grow like weed once planted other banana trees would start popping up nearby. Agriculture is definitely a profitable business if you invest in some agricultural land by hire or purchase.

Terri after watching this video, I too know that nothing God created is wasted, so I researched about the “banana juice from the stem” you can blend it up and get the juice or juice it and consume it as a natural way to dissolve kidney stones. You can also cut the stems up very fine and mix with chicken feed for the chickens. ❤️
