when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. that is why i bring you a july TBR that quickly turned into a very chatty video about the books i want to read this month, me making a TBR jar and cart, and losing my mind over some of the new book releases of 2024. booktube and tiktok have buzzed about these books… let’s see if i’ll enjoy them! i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with one more book to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2024!

I'm about halfway through Love on the Brain, and I love it. I've loved every one of Ali Hazelwood's STEM books. This one, specifically, I love the tidbits and connections to Marie Curie!

Don’t even worry about a curious beginning it is good. The banter is bantering. It had me laughing. Of course I’ve only read the first 9 to 10 chapters but still it’s good so far.

The whole TBR sounds amazing. I loved Just for the Summer! I really need to get around to reading A Curious Beginning myself as well, since it’s been on my tbr for something like 10 years at this point.

I started reading the Veronica Speedwell series this year, and even though I'm only on book 3, I do really enjoy it! My advice with it is just to not take it too seriously. Just know you're in for a fun, slightly crazy and at times unhinged good time with a historical mystery series starring amateur detectives. And a tone of banter, UST, and snark.

The Veronica Speedwell series is by far one of favorites of all time. The audio books are so good, definitely recommend. ❤

THE FAMILIAR ❤ YESSSS🙌 it's honestly so different from what Leigh bardugo has written before but I loved it just the same 😙👌I can't wait to see what you think of it. Also that's the only book I've been early to, right now I'm reading One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston and listening to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid which are both books I feel so late to the hype but I'm enjoying both so much so far 😁

Historical mysteries are my number one favorite sub-genre. The series by Deanna Raybourne is in my top five and one I always recommend for those perhaps just getting their toes wet in them. I do hope you enjoy A Curious Beginning. I think you will like Veronica Speedwell's voice. 👑
