Every single time a new pack drops you do the exact same "wait, don't buy! don't waste gems" title as if it isn't visible from outer space when the cards are busted... I mean it clearly works, since I clicked on the video, but c'mon... what is the point of waiting in the first place when sh!t is clearly broken?

Dude, some of you content creators come across as being a little detached from reality. The way you guys so casually say "you should play 3 of this card, 3 of that card and 2 or 3 of this other card". All of which are UR cards. Do you know how hard it is for us regular people to obtain even the tiniest amount of UR tokens? They are like gold-dust. It is ok for you guys who can spend 1000's of dollars or pounds or euros on pack bundle after pack bundle. Accumulating 1000's of UR tokens in the process. And can pretty much build any deck you want in its strongest form and make it all the way to Master rank every time. Must be real nice. Take a moment to consider that the vast majority of the player base will NEVER be able to try Tenpai Dragons because it is beyond their means of acquiring enough tokens. Do you know how many people would love to give these new decks a try and are just never going to be able to? It is just crazy how Konami releases a meta-defining archetype that is going to dominate the game of Master duel, and make it inaccessible to the majority of average players out there. The sheer amount of UR cards required to even build a somewhat competent version of this deck is just outlandish. You have to deconstruct THREE UR cards just to be able to craft a single one. I have just literally had to give up 5 decks that I have been building up since the game released. A full power snake eyes and a full power Yubel deck were amongst them. And my Tenpai deck isn't even at full strength, where I need it to be. I am losing games consistently, at Gold tier, and I have been in the top tier of Master Rank with all my other decks. What a scam this is. It is slowly becoming more and more pay to win in my opinion. Something has to be addressed here. This is the reason why so many people are put off after spending a bit of time with the game. They aren't able to have access to cards they want to try. 7 of my friends have all tried the game, absolutely LOVED it, and given up playing it within a month or so of playing it. They are bored to death of playing WITH the same decks and also AGAINST the same decks, duel after duel.
My perspective as a f2p player who started in February: The game may seem stingy, but is actually extremely generous if you manage yor resources well. The initial obstacle you'll face as a new player is the lack of staples. Once you have your play sets of Maxx C, Imperm, and Ash, as well as generic extra deck staples such as S:P, I:P, Typhon, Zeus, Appo, etc., you can build new decks with relative ease.
The main trick is to not spend your gems on every pack. I'd aim at investing in a new selection pack roughly every two months. This gives you enough resources to get about two copies of most URs, so that you only need to craft a few cards to round out the deck. It helps if you have a rough idea which archetypes came out in the physical game, so that you can plan ahead.
Investing more heavily in a pack also gives you the chance to build more than one deck. By buying into the snake eyes pack, I also got almost everything I need for Infernoble. Buying Voiceless Voice gave me most cards for Ice Barrier and a decent bunch for Raid Raptor. I don't invest UR dust to build those secondary decks right away, but if I get bored with my current main deck, I am only 2 to 4 UR from playing something new. I only dust cards that I know I won't want to use.
So yeah, the game may be a bit frustrating at the beginning, but six months into an account you will have lots of options. This requires a bit of planning and knowing where your priorities lie. I could pull for and build Tenpai if I wanted right now, but I will probably abstain in favor of Dragon Link and Centurion.

Short answer, totally yes. I sinked 15k gems in it and craftet the remaining cards for tenpai. Just know you need more 15k instead of 10k because Konami really got greedy. Badicslly the whole deck is UR
