The dead serious tone over the slow and blatantly gentle 'fight' made this 1000x better, and that's after the adorableness of the Mudkip just faceplanting into the mud.
Been on an Attenborough BBC doc binge lately, and you completely nailed the vibe. You even have the overly dramatic, hyped up music as they adorably, but ruthlessly slap each other. That one Clod definitely deserves his crown 👑
This is one of the best things I've ever seen! I'm not an animator or anything, but the pokemon company needs to hire you! Pokeearth is a brilliant idea to help establish the world and get more in depth with everyones favorite pocket monsters! Thank you for this brilliant film!

I love the way the Clodsires fight so much! Some IRL animal standoffs can be just as goofy 😂. The only tiny missed opportunity here was for the Clodsires to puff up a bit or maybe show their spines as to try and intimidate their rival before the "brawl"
Definitely based off elephant seals. This was soooo adorable but man while elephant seal encounters are hilarious at first, it really is wild how much damage their weight does. Gets bloody quick!
I really really like this. Most male mating fights are entirely for show and are more about display and intimation than actual harm. Excellent animation and narration!

@@applekoi8639 That's what I'm guessing as well. Maybe it's something like how in real life, Venom is pretty expensive for the body to make, and it would be a waste to use it for a territorial or sexual display. However, if there was a predator nearby intent on eating offspring, that's when venom/poison would be the most beneficial; killing the predator means there's no chance for it to come back and try again, given it doesn't escape first.. Why waste it on another male, who is only seeking to take females but not kill them, when they can just size each other up and just have a Slam fight until one male relents and leaves? They don't have to waste their venom and both males get to live to see another day. No need to fight to the death if it isn't necessary. Which brings into question how human trainers could command attacks like Poison Jab or something without killing the opponent. Suspension of disbelief I guess.
@@TORchic1 I suppose if we believe that antidotes can cure pretty much all Pokémon poison, the trainer with a poisoned Pokémon would give theirs a antidote or go to a pokemon center. Even if we went with more real world examples of needed specific antidotes for poisons, clodsire seems to be quite common in paldea so it would make sense for a antidote to be developed. The poison spikes could also be used for hunting, if we leaned towards a more meat eating clodsire. I applaud @EnlargedKai for creating this video - they truly are gifted by our Creator (God); the inventor of the human mind!❤️
Much appreciate that future episodes will be voiced by a real actor. Saw this elsewhere and wondered if the voice was AI
0:45 LOL that mud face plant, cutest thing ever. ToT
ITS A WOOPER!! HOW DO U NOT KNOW
fr wooper was so cute when he mud face planted
@@jaspercheema They meant faceplant. The wooper did a faceplant. In the mud. A mud faceplant... 😅
Agreed, what a goofy goober. :]
ITS SO CUTE!
The dead serious tone over the slow and blatantly gentle 'fight' made this 1000x better, and that's after the adorableness of the Mudkip just faceplanting into the mud.
*Wooper

I cannot stop laughing. The gentlest of slaps is how they compete for mates.
Been on an Attenborough BBC doc binge lately, and you completely nailed the vibe. You even have the overly dramatic, hyped up music as they adorably, but ruthlessly slap each other. That one Clod definitely deserves his crown 👑
Now this, this is a animal documentary I would pay to watch. Top tier work, keep it up.
I would literally exchange legal tender for these goods and services.
The Wooper falling over was funny.

これほど丁寧にポケモンを取材するには大変な苦労があったと思います。素晴らしい動画をありがとうございました。
Jokes aside, you know how when someone play punches you, you're fine but you can obviously feel the punch?
Now put 500 pounds behind that and then recognize it appears a lot of clodsire is fat.
That jello slap looks silly on them but it would probably break my arm.
Looked it up, yeah these guys are like 490 pounds.
Usually I hate when people use AI voices… but this is one of the very few exceptions! You knocked it out of the park with this!
I love Clodsire so much! I recently did a Nuzlocke of Scarlet, and my Clodsire, Noodle, was one of my strongest and longest-standing team members. Tragically, she sacrificed her life in the final battle so her teammates could snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat. RIP Noodle; you were the true hero of the run.
We won’t forget you Noodle✊😭

The faceplant into the mud gets me every time. Also amazing detail on the mud tracks after the fight!
Well this is an utter masterpiece. You've perfectly captured the vibe of an Attenborough documentary, A+ scriptwriting!
Nothing I can really add to this , absolutely perfect Attenborough writing, right down to the silly wordplay.

The Wooper just facepalming was perfection. This is so well done, can't wait for more. Thank you for this gem ❤❤
What are "palms"?
This is perfect in every way. The small wooper just goes face first in the mud, and the following wet schlaps of the fight. Love it.
I really really like this. Most male mating fights are entirely for show and are more about display and intimation than actual harm.
Excellent animation and narration!
This is amazing. I didn't know I wanted Curiosity Stream with David Attenborough in the style of Detective Pikachu, but I am so ready to binge watch this series.
This was... absolutely incredible! Pokemon NEEDS to hire you to create this series for real!! Seriously tho, you frickin deserve a job at the Pokemon Company after making this masterpiece!!!

Fantastic work
That was so random, but what were you expecting from a wooper ?
D U N K
Not only do the graphics, animations, and voice-over look and sound SO amazing, the attention to small details really made this into something special. The whooper plopping its head down in the mud unprompted, the various ways the clodsires fought, etc really breathed life into these pokemon and made the whole thing much more immersive. Congrats, you deserve every bit of attention this has received! Keep up the good work😊

Super creative! I enjoyed this a lot.
It would have been cool to have a part where we see Clodsire's spines extended.
Perhaps the spines coming out could be a sort of intimidation display
I’d imagine it’d be reserved for predators. Imagine trying to bite prey and it spikes you!
@TORchic1 I would assume the venom doesn’t kill for the same reason setting your opponent on fire doesn’t kill.
Their backside is the same color of mud, so I’d bet it’d be easy to just bury themselves and wait for something to walk over them!
