What a great job explaining every detail, this information is so useful for those of us who have no idea what we're doing. Thank you so much for taking the time.
Thank you so much for this video. Excellent knowledge conveyed very well. The finished product is beautiful. Me and my sons are starting a 16 x 8 wood craft workshop in our wood. This video has been a great help and gives encouragement. Namaste 🙏
@@ProfessorDIY Ahh thankyou!! I will for sure! I was thinking that with all your Various projects from beginner upwards that you could/should Write a Book or Series one for Beginners then Intermediate etc.. it would be a way of cataloguing all the projects and skills and generate extra revenue for the years of practice and work.
Took care to make sure the window fit lol clearly they don’t care because they have built hundreds of the cookie cutter kit sheds, they aren’t stick framing off a Set of drawings like a real framer! Regardless nice shop you’ve got there, enjoy.
I have had "Pressure Treated Lumber/Wood" still Rot just after a couple of years, even being on Cinder Blocks. Todays Pressure Treated Lumber/Wood ( Dimensional and Sheet ) is Not as good from even 20 years ago. I do live in a Humid Climate/Area of Florida.
I have untreated wood outside for years that never rotted in order to rot wood must be in standing water almost constantly, maybe your wood was not treated well or the conditions were very wet, or both!
@@ProfessorDIY Well, Manufactures have been cutting Costs, so they are not treated like they use to either. Not as Dark Green as they use to be. I don't know where you live but I am in Florida. With the Humidity in the area I live, you wood think they wood treat the lumber more/better. Nope, Charge More, Treat Less.. Not to Mention Warping.
I like what i see, do you have building plans of that design , or did you bought a building in kit form where the pieces are pre cut and ready for Assembly . I am thinking of building a shed in like manner . How long did it take to build your building
@@ProfessorDIY no not this one...10x16 it is...materials 3k +/-...carpenter un-happy because the 2 of them deserve to be paid fair...$2400.00..not 25 bucks an hour...
Then why did he say 12x16? And when everything is boxed in the back of the truck and you don’t make any cuts lol that’s a kit dude.and where’s the third guy?
So many errors in building. Starting with improper foundation, did not dig down to solid dirt. top soil will settle. Not enough floor joists. No double plates. Short walls.I would not have this poorly constructed mess.
@@iamtiaudra Who cares ? Anyone my height or taller. I do not want to have to duck every time I step through the door. And I would like to be able to stand an eight foot sheet of plywood up against the wall, not the rafter.

Thank you it looks amazing and this is what I will build in my yard.❤
I really love mine!

Thank you, I am sure you will enjoy the process of building it and the utility when you are done. We love ours!
Ugh I wish you did a video on building the rafters. Your videos are so easy to follow. I think building the rafters would be a great tutorial.
I plan to build a carport I will show in detail how to build the rafters in that episode
@@ProfessorDIY awesome. I’ll keep an eye out for it. Thanks!

@@ProfessorDIY it's simpler than that just use your Photos! Be okay for an Ebook version at least!
Will you offer a set of down loadable plans? I think this is the Perfect size for me. Thank you.
I will be happy to

I have seen the work and have corrected the work of "real" framers so don't even try

NO this is not a kit. We designed it to fit our needs both functionally and esthetically. It took three of us a full day . It is a 10 x12.

@@williambatton6359 Indeed it is
Why would you build walls on 24 inch centers
I did not the studies are at 16 but 24 is acceptable if there is no second floor or the roof is not expected to carry heavy loads such as snow
I hate to break it to you buddy, but if this is 16 feet long then those studs are on 24 inch centres

Not a single error.
Short walls? Who cares about that..? It’s a small shop, not a home!
