    THE VIDEO IS BACK!! After several issues uploading this video to TH-cam, it’s finally good to go! Enjoy!

    Hey man. Great videos, thank you for the information. Have you had a go at making synth / chill wave on BM3? Would love to see a video on that. 👌👍

      Synthwave is an ocean I’ve wanted to explore for some time now. I think it’s time to explore...👀

    That contrast was amazing! Something i never thought of. BTW any possibility of doing a walkthrough of how to recreate Drake's passionfruit?

      Thanks! Appreciate the suggestion, but recreating other people’s songs is not really something I do. I might do some videos on how to recreate certain sounds though. 🤔

    On beat maker can you make the melody with a warped affect?

    • @MusicTechnologist
      @MusicTechnologist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! You definitely can, you just have to use a plugin to do it. Fly tape 2 does it, but I prefer using koalafx and dragging the “vibroflange” effect down just a bit.

  • @bplain80

    Can you use BM3 as a plug-in in Cubasis 3? I love BM3 for the drumming and samples but I like the workflow of Cubasis 3 more for mixing and laying tracks?

      This is a great question for someone in the community. Unfortunately, I don’t own an AKAI, so I’m afraid I’m not much help this time.

    How do you dequantize on BM3?

    • @MusicTechnologist
      @MusicTechnologist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a quantize button that you can turn off at the top, however if you recorded something with quantize on, you can not undo that. If you’re not sure if you’re going to like the quantized output before you record, you can always record w/o quantization and then just quantize after. Hopefully this helps! 👍🏽

      Unfortunately, I’ve been having a lot of issues with videos having glitches in them after I release them, so I’ve been having to re-upload. Figuring out a way to keep it from happening.

    What’s the bass you recommend for lofi?

    • @MusicTechnologist
      @MusicTechnologist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. There’s lots of good stuff in the Moog Model D app, but Bassalicious 2 has some good options too! The goal is to get a smooth sounding bass, almost like a live bass guitar. Sometimes it’s nice to change it up though.

    • @bjamminsincebirth3494
      @bjamminsincebirth3494 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MusicTechnologist That’s my goal for sure. I’m thinking of just buying a bass. I play guitar and I can play bass a little. I just love that authentic bass sound.

    You think an update will come soon to address crashing?

    • @MusicTechnologist
      @MusicTechnologist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I’ve been hearing folks say they’ve been experiencing issues. Unfortunately, I have no direct connection to Intua, so I don’t have any inside information about their plans to address bugs. I’ve had a few crashes myself, but as someone that worked previously in FL Studio, a few crashes is nothing new to me. Most of the time BM3 does a better job of backing up my unsaved session than FL ever did. Still wish the issues were ironed out though.
