Bahh. Heavily/overstocked is a matter of opinion, tank size, tank maintenance, and filtration. Everyone has a fish they get attached to and don't want to get rid of. Have a whole tank of "feeder" guppies/endlers and I love it
I have the same problem so i made a diy Concrete pond first for my pleco's who got to big (a albino sailfin from 47cm ) In 2y time it evolved to a concrete waterfall tank pond 😁 for all my fish who got to big for there tanks
I have seven spotted silver dollars. They are skittish but I really like them. They are easy to keep and are very colorful when they get their full color on. I hav e them in a 55. Yours will do great in that big tank and will live a long time.
Lol my aunt got two silver dollars 7 years ago at the fair here in the middle of nowhere in Ohio there's still thriving on very hard water that has a lot of lime in it is fish or hearty they're beautiful and they're strong and you just need to give them a lot of surfaces and plants and vegetation and all the good stuff
Glad you are having good luck with your Silver dollars (Lippincottianus), you're right that the spotted ones stay smaller and eventually color up when spawning, the silver ones (argenteus) get much larger and plainer looking. I''ve had black bar redhooks and silver redhooks those are one chromosome away from piranha! LOL. They always did well with larger cichlids for me, never been able to keep them with angels and plants but your tank seems fine. Stay safe and love the videos!

I'd be picking a different pet store if every batch is coming home with epistylis. At the store I work, we quarantine the whole tank when a break out occurs. We refuse sales out of it and stop stocking until all infected tanks are cured. It costs a lot of money for us to do it, but ultimately the health of the fish and satisfaction of the customers are more important than pushing sales
I use Ick Attack amzn.to/2FRG1C5 Make sure it's Ick though. epistylis can look very much like Ick and is always in your tank. Ick has to be introduced, so if you didn't add anything in the last two weeks, check out "epistylis".

You're probably talking about anubias, and it's available most stores that sell aquatic pants.

Not really. They eater soft plants but seem to leave the Java and Anubias alone.
What are the smaller fish with the black stripe on them?
Some type of notropis species. Not sure which (may be Blacknose dace)
Compared to my population exploding 200-litre tank your's is definitely lightly stock. 🤣👍

They are extremely skitish once the school dwindles down I am down to a single one and it is very skitish.
