I am and have always been a romantic person since I was a child. It might sound strange or weird but every time I heard this song on the radio when as a kid, I imagined that I was soulfully pleading to my love, who appeared from our of no where with a beautiful, loving smile and we shared a sweet, intensely passionate kiss and we'd melt into each other like soft ice cream. While we kissed we were magically transported through life as if the moment of the kiss lasted forever. Told you I was a romantic. The video brings back so many memories of that era. Although I also wished that in the video Rhonda was accompanied by her love interest. She would meet him and share a kiss. Mind you, I do remember at that time the concept of kissing was a "big deal" in Trinbago culture. We used to see it regularly on American TV shows but it was weirdly taboo in public or on TTT. Public displays of affection (PDA) was simply not done. Funny thing is you could curse someone out or fight and that was fine. In fact around that era (late 70s to mid 80s) there was a commercial advertising rum, scotch, deodorant or something in which of a couple (Trini white man and woman) walked around holding hands. It was evident that they were a romantic couple. Instead of having them actually kiss, the commercial creators manipulated the camera angle to make it look as if they had touched lips. Hilariously we could clearly see that they had not. All that is to say that I guess there was little chance that Rhonda would been allowed to share an actual kiss with her dream love.
I remember when TTT used to show videos of local artiste Carol Addison, Deneyse Plumber, Nadia LaFond and also Rhonda De Souza. I think there was a golden period of female artist in the mid to late 70s (1976-1979) when they came out and TTT used to show them to make up time between production slots all the way up to the early 90s. When I look at this it just brings back memories.

I had this copy on a VHS tape since my ttt days, nobody ever thought there would be a You Tube and after seeing a copy by another You Tuber with audio and a picture i decided to try and upload my copy of the original done by AVM Television Productions. I really tried to clean up the video and get a clean audio track for better listening but sadly this was the best i could do.
Quite possible although it looks a bit like Chag in the west, way before my time i'll ask a friend who worked with the production company back then and get back .
