- UPDATE: Faller Breakdance model build - Motor is having issues so we've reached out to Faller about a replacement but getting nowhere just yet.... Check out part one!

Hi Dave good to see your update on part 2 of the Faller Breakdance i do hope they send you another motor to get it working but at least you did your best to contact them so hope it all works out for you also it was really good of Jake to send you the Flipper Superbowl that adds another model to your collection . Faller Carnival models were originally designed as sideshow attractions for model train enthusiasts. Before the advent of DCC control systems, rail layouts ran on DC.
If your adapter there wasn't AC to DC or a DC adapter - that's why it wouldn't work. Faller motors are still DC motors.
I've just spent a lot of money on Faller models looking to start modelling Carnival rides including the Breakdance and Flipper rides. Coming from a family with a very keen and experienced modeller, I'm not put off by the amount of seemingly daunting time and patience needed to build these things... however I do want to light them.
If anyone out there can help me with any information about wiring these for smd rgb leds, I'd be grateful.

Can’t you use the motor of the new model if it’s the same and complete then you wouldn’t have to struggle with get another one🤔
Yeah I've tried it and it's not the motor that's broke its my plug haha

The reason why it couldn't be working if it is not a 12v ac/ac adapter as you may have got dc. You can find these on ebay for £10 and you can strip back the wire if your careful and solder them together. This worked for me and I bought my faller model at the same time as yours.

faller motors requires 18v to run your 12v power supply to weak for motor to spin buy 18v one motor will work the copper clip just holds case together long as one clip keeping case together be ok built up 5 of faller model kits

we brought a ready made faller carousel ride, it has lights etc. I checked what power supply i needed and its 17v? AC not DC this might be your problem, using a dc power supply on an ac motor lights will still work but motor just heats up and does nothing.

Try using the flippers motor if they are the same ?

Do both kits use the same motor ?? If so you can test your power supply.

Hi mate , been building Faller Fairground rides for over 20 years you need a 16AC Transformer these motors are unique unfortunately. If you want a copper clip send me your details cheers Nigel

Slothy Vlogs you can get a 16vac Transformer on eBay quite cheap! Does not have to be a Faller one
