    This is a good introduction to making a game in Gdevelop5, I finally know how to make the game screen bigger, I always thought it was definite but FALSE! It is possible to change it via the Project Manager> Game Setting. Also, changing the theme and resetting back to default the windows.
    When I can I'll make time to follow the tutorial :)

    I have a question: is it possible to embed social media into a game with DGevelop? I mean, say its FPS or RPG and the player stumbles across a youtube window in the game and she can write a comment or watch the video and then move on to fight zombies and solving puzzles. How can I make something like this?

    Hey. Nice video.
    Is there a way to resize the UI of GDevelop itself? I find some for the text in the Event Sheets and some menus are too small for me.
    Cheers.

    Does anyone know how to include a video player in gdevelop with playback controls for each video? Something like a reading app where you click on each story/book that you want to hear and you can manipulate the controls like fast forward, rewind, etc.

    I am newcomer and by accident I deleted property panel for the ground object. I created a ground object n then click it but no property panel on left appear. And I did reinstall it thinking whatever I did might reset. Help me please. Stuck like a dummy here

    • @VictrisGames
      @VictrisGames 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't worry, it is not deleted for good; it's just hidden. There is a button on the top-right called "Open the properties panel" that will bring this back.

    I know this is gonna sound Retro or Dinosaur like but... have you ever thought of a "Text Based Game" Tutorial, namely an easy to grasp coding language like "Windows Batch Script"? I'm more interested in the core game design of the game for mechanics and things, not necessarily all dressed up with the Bells and Whistles of Graphics and Sounds etc. "I'm thinking like Zork" or "Windows Batch Games" which ofc can use ascii if wanted to. - Also the easy to grasp coding language can be any but I like batch for the simple reason you can just do "set HP=10" or "set Gold=200" which means making variable names is not fully constrained, and by doing " %HP%" or "%Gold%" would turn it into the number it was storing. :lable

    • @VictrisGames
      @VictrisGames 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your goal is to remember tech history and provide nostalgia, your idea is a good one.
      However, if your goal is to teach the basic of coding then I think GDevelop does a good job achieving that goal.
      Thanks for the idea!

    So we are trying to add Level 4 to this game where if the PLAYER collides with an EXPLODINGOBSTACLE, the PLAYER is sent back to the START position in this level. We created a new object 'EXPLODINGOBSTACLE', and added a CONDITION for the collision, and a ACTION - Delete EXPLODINGOBSTACLE and reset the X & Y position of the PLAYER to its original position (as per the properties). However, this doesn't seem to work. Are we missing something here? Appreciate your guidance.
