Incredibly dark. That's probably why I love the original so much
RIP Matt the only man to try and leg sweep a terminator
would love to have seen the terminator get double underhooks and go for the powerbomb.
Don't make him bust you UP man!
I watched that scene recently and I didn't see that guy try to keg sweep him. 😂
😂😂
Lets not forget that a human held off a T-800 for nearly a minute without any weapons, he was only wearing trousers.
F for respect.
He wasn't even wearing trousers.
He was in his draws
He was wearing speedos
"Don't make me bust you up, man."

Fiedel is a genius. This soundtrack has so many unique sounds...all artificial, but beautiful...the sounds of lorries passing through tunnels in the middle of the night, robotic gongs, violins, China dishes rattling together, screeching tyres, even synthetic screams and otherworldly choirs.
Replaying the scene in my head I realized that the T800 actually attempted to be stealthy by sneaking in the side door and he tried to put his fist through Matt’s head instead of shooting him with the .45 he used on Ginger. That makes the T800 a little scarier for me now since it isn’t just a brute machine bulldozing it’s way to it’s objective.
The scene played out pretty much like a Michael Myers kill.
Um well actually it's a T-101. 🤓
@@dalgusmaximus4557That's the model for the terminator's appearance, not the endoskeleton.
People forget that the first Terminator is a horror movie
I remember when I was about 3 or 4 and being so scared of this movie .i got up to where u saw the terminators red after cut his fake eyeball out and couldn't finish the movie till I was about 8.
honestly they should have continued with the horror setting, i loved that movie.
Actually its sci fi horror
@@juliansoto6307 That's still horror 🙂
I used to peek around every corner for t-800
Don’t make me bust you up man!
My name is not man lol. (It’s a joke)
@@undergroundsequence Of course, he's the Terminator.
(also a joke)
T-800:im not a man 😑
Famous last words.
I’ve seen this movie so many times I can listen to the music and see the scene play out in my mind lol
Bro, same thing.
Credit where credit is due. Matt put up a splendid fight with the T-800.
3:30 part is when they escaped from Tech Noir through backdoor and into a first car chase.
Loved that part of the soundtrack probably my most replayed car chase of all time and it had a lot to do with its Dark Noir atmosphere and this amazing synth driven soundtrack.
3:17 OOF
3:17 give's me chills, when he picking him self up from the floor after being blasted though the window. what a great scene
Had nightmares of this scene as a kid.
34 years later....STILL GIVES ME CHILLS!
The best part, it's so powerful dude
3:17 This scene always gives me chills, after the Terminator gets back up after enduring all those shotgun blasts and Sarah's jaw drops to the floor at the realization of how indestructible it really is.
Matt put up a good fight
Matt was a boss
Is it me, or did Shinji Mikami listened to this OST for ideas when directing this for the first Resident Evil game?
Definitely had a big influence on games and media in the 90s for sure
There is definitely a lot of influence.
Isn't he originally wanted robots instead of zombies? Also Nemesis hunting down and *terminate* STARS members and seems indestructable.
2:44 this melody veery similar to re1 basement theme
Great composers steal. Brad Fiedel stole from John Carpenter (Halloween III in particular). Shinji Mikami, and many other video game composers stole from this particular movie.
Brad Fidel's work on this film is hands down the best soundtrack of all time, including his song "Come To Me" from Fright Night. I'm pretty sure his weapon of choice for both soundtracks was the Prophet 10 synthesizer. One that I really want, but it's extremely rare and expensive. I wonder if he still has all of his original rigs.
80s music is raw as fuck
i like to think that these violins are Matt and Ginger's screams of deseperation and fear while getting killed by the T-800 converted to music
The low one at 0:18 is Matt and the high one at 0:25 is Ginger
I miss the kid who put the ice cream in sarah's pocket. they could have done a lot more with that character.
best part
Nice going kid. Oughta give you the tip.
I woulda slapped that kid silly.
*kid puts ice cream in Sarah's pocket*
Skynet: It's in their nature to destroy themselves.
I would offer him to the Terminator
Brad Fiedel es un genio con sus sintetizadores que te meten en la escena
Especially Dreams of future war... I will always picture that hellscape when I hear it
1:43 Terminator turns around at nightclub
That's when he moves in on her...so, you know, Reese can zero him
Brad Fiedel is a genius!
synth genius
if only there was a beginning director who would shoot his own view of how this franchise should have really continued, with minimum budget and maximum effort. like this first movie. with a team of young enthusiasts.
I think the closest you'll get to that is actually the TV series. Its a damn shame they cancelled it after only two seasons and on a major cliffhanger too.
Damn i was literally on high volume and using headphones and the first 20 seconds scared me shitless
3:37 is basically resident evil directors cut mansion basement
Umbrella creating the BOWs is like Cyberdyne making the machines.
5:06 my favorite part
"This is 1L19 I got a hit and run felony!"
I remember watching this movie when I was 5 'cause it was on the TV, and then my grandma said it was a great movie, so I watched it, and I was surprised 'cause of the fact The terminator was a machine that looked like a human. I'd never seen something so original, so I liked every part of it, and I even remembered the music, specially this one song (persecution song) it became one of my favorite movies.
Best score, best cast, best filming
"don't make me bust you up man" Matt 1984
2:00 is my fav 😎
Same
4:43 - This 1L19. I got a hit'n run felony.
Hey, hold it!
Aaarrgh!
5:07
Hold on.
Are you injured? Are you shot?!
Sounds like the soundtrack to a scene in a horror film.
"Oh, shit! I let the demons out!"
The first Terminator is a horror film
The music builds up the atmosphere of the chase, creating a sense of unsettling tension.
I love playing "American truck simulator" with this soundtrack. My black Kenworth W900 fits perfectly with this music. I don’t know why, but you will certainly agree with me. :))
'Don't make me bust you up man!'
This is so badass.

Come with me ,iff you want live !!
What's the song ginger is listening to before she is axed off?
I believe it's called "intimacy"
Sponge bob square pants I think.
SpongeBob SquarePants didn't air or become famous back in 1984.
Justin bieber - baby i believe
Darude - Sandstorm
1:40-2:25: When your parents go through bills and you paid for something without their permission and they wonder who paid for so and so and when something tense is fixing to happen. 😨
1:52 T 800 finds Sarah
Fav one!!!!
I always thought the instrumental music for the was the the noises the terminators insides made especially the hand eye surgery music and the police station shoot out music was the noise the terminators made like laughing at killing people.
"DON'T MAKE ME BUST YOU UP MAN!" - Gets thrown through wall.
6:22 This is 1L19..Westbound Olympic approaching overland...
Come with me, if you want to live!
WRONG! (BOOM)
Mono audio for the gun sounds is still better
So what's for dinner? "plastique" Lol. Reese
Thats sounds good what is it?
James Cameron’s Halloween
Exactly
Después de mucho tiempo y tecnología futurista, por fin algo bueno, aunque desconcertante porque hay dos soudtracks originales de Terminator (1984) por Brad Fiedel. Muchas gracias, al que subió este soundtrack. Eres genial. Un amigo: José Puyén de Chiclayo-Perú.
dark asf
Damn right it is
It is. It's Halloween but with a killer robot.
"Come on!!" Reese to Sarah
2:15 guns cocked!
Most of the parts of this song is mostly when Sarah is at the dance club, and them running in the alleyway.
2:18 to 2:28 HOLY MOTHER OF GOD
Come with me if you wanna live
Come on!!
DONT MAKE ME BUST YOU UP MAN!!!!!
RIP Matt. One of the only men I witnessed hold his own with a T-800 for minute or so and almost completing a double leg. Resistance could of used him. Maybe Skynet knew that and a side quest was for the T-800 to terminate him too. Makes ya think
Is this where Death Stranding's composer get his inspiration from for Once There Was An Explosion?
Sounds alot of crazy stuff like jimmy page in death wish 2

Terminator 1 T-800 VS T2 T-800. GO!
Creepier than any horror film track.
Just the thought of a T-800 looking for you relentlessly while this plays in the background sends chills down my spine. The premise of the movie alone is scarier than any other horror movie out there. What's more terrifying than knowing you're going to die when that thing finds you and there is nothing you can do but delay the inevitable by running.
This track sounds like something off the first Silent Hill Ost
Very cool
1:51 This Scene
I feel like chasing someone
1 was great. 2 is an Icon. after....sudden infant death syndrome
