    One of my biggest blocks for abundance is my root chakra greed shadow. I have an inability to accept my own greedy urges so I get angry at those who have a lot of financial abundance. But I understand now that I need to embrace the part of me that wants to have financial abundance so I can spend "unnecessary" (it's not really unnecessary! I just have a core belief that spending on things past basic necessities is unnecessary) money on crystals, on reiki healing sessions, on road trips, on nice dinners out etc. I need to trust myself that I will still give back to others as my abundance increases and that it's a part of being human to be a little greedy sometimes

    I recently found out my life path number is 11/2. My whole life I have felt unsafe and also stuck. I watched everyone around me "growing up" and I just felt the same and sad and lonely and disconnected from everything. I have started to reconnect with metaphysical things and decided to look into chakras and I have to say it has made a profound difference in my life and when I listen to your videos I get goosebumps over my whole body. My friend and I were recently talking about how we get goosebumps when people speak certain truths (ghost stories and the like), so that is how I know you speak the truth. I think I'm a bit similar to you as well because when I first started my spiritual path I was only interested in the upper chakras but many years later I realize I need a good base before I can reach those higher chakras in the way I'm intended to. Long story short: thank you so much you have changed my life, and anyone I come into contact with will also be hopefully changed for the better. Side note I have tried out your chakra tattoos as well and I love them! Once winter comes I will buy more (too hot I sweat them all off too fast)

    I really love this series, is so useful because shadow work is such a big topic so starting from chakras allows me to work in a way that makes "more sense". I made a small recap for future references.
    8:01 being needy makes you capable of belonging in a community (no "miss independent")
    10:50 being greedy allows you to enjoy the physical world (no spiritual bypassing)
    12:52 being stupid opens you to curiosity (not a judging know it all)
    14:30 being lazy allows you to let go and relax, just being (not always doing something)
    15:55 being fearful makes you wise and cautious (not unaware of your physical limits, irresponsible)
    How to heal:
    -reflect on the qualities of the shadow,
    -do tapping,
    -love yourself in the shadow (1.inner child healing, reflecting on the past, first time you felt it, 2. reflecting on the present, the last time you've felt it 3. Hypothetical thinking)
    -observing others (whenever you get triggered reflect on yourself and heal that in yourself) note: you can say no to people and situations and move on, when you don't like something, notice the difference between being unfulfilled in your potential (you move on to feel empowered) vs being triggered and annoyed by someone else or some situation

    I really like your videos about the shadow qualities of the chakras. "I would rather be whole than good" is also one of my favorite quotes from Jung....*)))
    What I can't agree on is that everything that triggers us is a reflection of ourselves. For example: if I feel triggered that a lot of people don't care about the environment, doesn't mean that I also don't care about the environment. HOW I react to these people says something about myself, but that I react on it, doesn't say anything about me, except that I love the environment, of course.

    • @GatorNikki
      @GatorNikki 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @symbolsysteme you got me thinking (I too am a big animal / environmental lover). What feels true to me is that loving animals and the earth, therefore aligned with our roles as stewards here, is a very different energetic response than what's called a "trigger". I still feel an energetic charge at times when I see / heart about injustice, which I consider a very beneficial and natural thing, but I'm no longer "triggered" since I've healed many inner child wounds.

    • @Symbolsysteme
      @Symbolsysteme 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GatorNikki "Trigger" is maybe not the right word, because it is normaly used for trauma response. English is not my mothers tongue. In German I would probably use a different word. Yes, anger about injustice is a healthy, natural response. It always depends how we canalize it....*)))

    thank you so much for this video. i resonate a lot with everything that you said. i feel so conflicted about this shadow aspects of me. i find myself a lot of time when i feal needy, gready, fearfull. unaware. and i so judge myself for being that way, and i always hrive to avoid being this way because through out almost all of my life, whenever i have been like that i felt judge for being this way. and that in a perfect society those qualities don't exsist in people, and all of my path trying so hard to avoid this qualities, even though they always there. becasue i feel that only without them i will be deserving of love. and to be part of society.
    i was born in unsafe home, where my parents fighted all the time, and all of my needs were not met. after that when i had my first boy interactions and crushes, i felt like i needing a partner, and i was very needy and atouched, and i was judged for it by him. and i learned through the boys in my life that being needy is not good. and i was in a huge fight with myself. because i couldn't control it. then i came across atachment theory that made me feel a relief, because finaly i came across something that told me that being needy is ok. but i'm still in a huge process with me.
    it's really hard to embrace in me all of those shadow qualities. because on one hand i want to be free from all of that. i want to be free from neediness, i want to be free from greddines.
    i was always sure that greediness coming from lack of aboundance.. i am trying to achive that mindset where there is aboundance everywhere, and i don't need to worry that i have enough.
    indeed i don't have the healthiest relationship with all of my qualities..
    thanks for your videos.

      I appreciate all that you shared Bree and relate as well. Often the first response to shadow is to push it away. That's why there's so much "projection" (putting our shadow qualities out on others). I love that you are genuinely seeking a way to integrate these parts of yourself. Have you felt into the GIFTS of each one?

I am SO looking forward to this series. I feel it's shown up at the absolute perfect timing on my journey. Since roughly around Christmas of last year, I have been more focused on loving and blessing the Shadow aspects rather than shunning them. I've been eager to just learn them and understand them more. I feel just by doing that we really help integrate the whole balance of light and dark within. This series I feel is really going to help to make that final shift of perception. I am so excited to explore this element of chakra learning with you! (have a feeling it will be in the heart chakra but will be curious to see if Betrayal shows up as a Shadow)

    What is gift in the shadow? Even though I am greedy and stupid and unaware lazy fearful scared terrified I love and accept myself. I am needy when was the first time I felt needy? I totally understand how you are afraid to be needy. I love you when you are needy little one. I love you when you are greedy as this makes total sense. When was the last time I felt this? When was the first time? When did I want more than my share? There it is. I could imagine I would be greedy if immigrant from another country as never got needs met. I was disabled and never self sufficient so greedy . Phenomenal!!!!! So meaningful and helping!!! What triggers / qualities need Integration within me???? Am I as strong as a bamboo stick??? Irresponsibility is shadow quality of root.... Rebound effect. Upset by quality in another requires integration in me. Egomaniac person is being? What is the gift of this manipulative has to do with power???

    Excellent video! I really love your point of view on this topic. I also struggle with imbalance in root chakra, for me it is manifesting as a lower back pain (SI joint). My biggest problem is safety and stability. I had a lot of issues connected with my family home, then moving to several places made it even worse. I work on finding safe and stable place within me and trusting the universe it loves me and it wants the best for me in every situation. I strongly agree with you that we often overemphasize the importance of independence and we forget about the interconnectednes and need for safety and belonging. We expect young people to travel, to be free and independent, maybe it works for some people but I think for most of us (especially the women) it is not a comfortable way of living for a long term. We should go back to our roots as no one really wants to live as an island.

    As you rightly said, we get triggered when we see in others the shadow qualities we have not embraced within ourselves. I noticed a few triggers in me recently that are related to the ones that you describe here, but I re-phrase them the way I felt them.
    - evasive of work (lazy)
    - imperfections in work, deliberate or otherwise (stupid/unaware/ lazy)
    - selfishness (greedy)

    I love this video, and I'm having a couple of issues about the words. Would you say that greedy could also be called, hunger or craving? I can relate to over craving. But it's really hard for me to identify with the word greedy at all. And while I do even recognize that this reveals my root chakra issue:), So many physical issues show it and so many issues with belonging. I have an awful time with money and I don't even like gravity.....kind of lol,,,,,,, but really I'd rather be flying. But this greedy thing....boy I just want to change that word:))) Seriously, I love your take on this work....THANK YOU. Gotta keep working with the sentence from Jung that you shared in your other video. "I would rather be whole that good". Boy that's rough for me!!

    Hello Vicki. I like watching you, it feels like my mom or someone who wishes the best for me talks to me. As far as shadow topic goes: for now the biggest difficulty for me would be to say when it is good to accept and understand the shadow of someone else and move on and when should I react because the shadow qualities of someone are actually doing me a harm.

    • @chakraboosters
      @chakraboosters  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dear Ewa, if you’re not triggered but clear that something someone is doing is not good for you, then you can set a clear, strong, non-reactive boundary. If you are triggered and something feels unsafe, you should still create a boundary to keep yourself feeling safe, but it’s good to also stay aware that there are probably shadow elements involved too. Xoxo v

    Oh my... Im glad i found this videos dear... Ive been suffering from extreme derealization after an ayahuasca ceremony 3 months ago... Ive been doing trauma work since then as i heard that derealization can be a symptom of extreme anxiety caused by trauma.. Its been helping for sure... But this thing about overractive crown chakra and focusing on healing the root feels so good... Just imagining the possibilty of having a healthy root feels grounding for me... Ill be working more on this... I recently started doing some Qi Gong... I loved it... It gives me orgasmic sensations in the belly and starts ti relax the pressure in my head and forehead

    I was born into parents who neglected and the abandoned both my sister and I and was left to be raised by two sets of grandparents well the main ones that we live with worked so we were left with aunts and uncles who were young and had their own life so we're pretty much left to our own devices. So I learned at a early age not to be needy because I always felt like I would be a burden to someone else like my grandmother and if I became a burden to her then she wouldn't want us anymore. Then I also remember being 5 and having a constant fear that she would die in and I would have to go in a foster home and not be with my family. A lot of this have shaped my adulthood because now I don't know how to receive love and help from other people because I've gone through life doing everything for myself and by myself. This is a struggle with my root chakra and then being a female growing up learning that I was attractive it attracted unwanted attention from boys as well as men so I learn to put on masculine energy as a child to keep boys away from me. So as an adult now I struggle with being feminine intimate with men and allowing them to love me. I didn't realize any of this until I started working with my root chakra because I wanted to start with the heart but I still continue to feel unworthy in love and then I had dreams that would point that I needed to work on my root chakra. So here I am working on it and as I work on it so many things that I repressed or coming to my mind and it's painful because you put those things aside because it hurt but you really didn't put it away because you didn't deal with it.

    Thank you so much for this! I couldn't find what this aspect of chakra healing was called, or what it was all about. I usually found information about going out in nature, grounding meditations, crystals, colors, visualizations, which don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that aspect of chakra healing too! and it helps so so much. But let's be honest, we have to put that shadow work in to deeply heal. When you were speaking of the quality trait of fear and how you absorbed other people's energies, I felt that deeply. It brought this thought, flashback or vision of the past about witnessing my mother's own suffering in her life. I would feel for her too. I felt her pain, and I felt so bad that my mother had to experience such suffering. However, that brought me suffering. I had to pause the video and really sit with myself, sit with my inner-child, sit with me as an actual child and hold her. Tell her that she is safe and what she has witness does not define her or is her fault at all. (my mom's very good at shifting blame) so that trait stuck with me of always feeling at fault. I held her in my arms, reassured her that she is loved and that she is safe. That im here for her and will always be here for her. I let her cry and feel her emotions, just feel them to process and let go. It was very healing for my child-me and the me in the now; and i'm extremely filled with gratitude. I sat with her at the end, took in a couple breaths with her hands on mine. I really love how you ended up talking about loving myself with that shadow quality because that is exactly what I did before listening to you explain that. I now see that the universe brought me to this video to be able to deeply heal my root chakra. Again, thank you so much for this and your beautiful authentic light. Much love! will definitely watch the rest as I work up.
