Rachel Weisz talks in Toronto about her role as a lovelorn, suicidal adultress in Terence Davies' adaptation of the Terence Rattigan play The Deep Blue Sea.
She is SUCH a great actress. In the final scene of "Deep Blue Sea" she conveys so much without words. Her struggle to take his departure well shows on her face. Her desperation is palpable. I don't usually like movies with unhappy endings (not a spoiler since she says it in this video) but this was one of those rare exceptions because the performances were so powerfully good.
Rachel is one of the more intelligent former models-turned-actresses alive & working today. She has the capacity 2 bring a sensitivity as well as bravery 2 each performance that brings out such a complexity that says, "I hope you as a viewer are really getting my nuances in this material, because if you came 2 see this film solely because of my (killer good) looks, you're in 4 more depth than you thought". I adore her tenacity 2 get that thru & in The Whistleblower, she really brought it. More..
mr beale was incredible indeed!! shame he doesn't get as much attention. The scenes with him and Rachel's character were so emotional and intense I had chills running down my spine. Tom might be a great actor but he is completely overshadowed in this movie by these two.
Saw the movie. she gave a dynamite performance of a tormented woman-- You could not take your eyes off of her when she was on the screen-- I see academy nom here!!!
She is very beautiful physically yes but she also has a certain luminosity to her... I dont know what it is... its like she glows or something, but it comes from inside :)
Where is this? Who is the interviewer? I love the fact that this interview is more conversational and allows Rachel to easily give great answers. Ahh, why a woman is better to interview another woman and a man interview a man.
This woman is one of the finest actors I've even seen, and that includes Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Laurence Olivier, all of the greats. She's just f-ing good.
There is no CHEMISTRY between Hester and Freddie and unfornunately, Samuel Barber's violin concerto emotionally upstages the scenes in which the music is used. Davies should have commissioned an original score. Simon Russell Beale steals the movie. His performance is the only one here deserving of acting awards. . . . . . .it doesn't seem to be acting. He IS Sir William Collyer. Bravo.
i am sorry but i can not understand what you said...0.o.. anyway you and yout sister are toooooo beautiful for me to be able easily to tell you two anything... maybe just star at you two...^-^..!!
'I guess its easy to be in love with Tom Hiddleston?'. . . Hello? Have you seen his face? His eyes? His Smile? His Hair? His Body? Have you heard his Voice? . . . The answer to the question is YES It is VERY Easy to be in love with Tom Hiddleston :)

She and Tom Hiddleston were amazing in this movies! Truly great actors:)

I feel like the interviewer was fishing for a certain answer with those questions in the beginning...
She is very beautiful physically yes but she also has a certain luminosity to her... I dont know what it is... its like she glows or something, but it comes from inside :)

What a smile :)
o.o Thank you ^_^
the first question took so long it's practically a monologue.... my god how narcissistic can the interviewer be?
She looks like my sister! o; Shes beautiful!!
Why did she tell us the entire plot? Whats the point of seeing it now?
She should get into acting. Her face may get more exposure that way. She has some appealing aspects that are nice. Striking even.
oh, your comment shows me you are also beautiful, like her...^-^..!!
... you two have to be proud of having your beautiful parents...
how is she 42 years old??!
it sounds like she is talking to susan surandon
Love you sweet.
EVEY!!!
