    Next week, we watch the new custom pizza stone insert in action! I believe this bad boy will radiate additional heat to your supersize tent or tepee. It will bring new meaning to the old statement "as snug as a bug in a rug!" Charles, as much as I do not like any of the chemical creosote removal products, this might be a time to try out a few and see if any of them will work for you. Be sure to minimize creosote build-up by always selecting the dryest of dry wood. After loading my furnace of upstairs woodstoves and everything was at operating temperature, I would open her up so flames would run up the pipes and burn off creosote accumulation from the slow overnight fire. We still had to do periodic cleaning but much less often because of the regular burnouts. I am not so sure I would want to do the burnout with that expensive stainless steel oven. If all else fails, a periodic cleaning with a solvent should do the trick. Happy cooking, man.

      @NewHampshireJack Thanks for the advice jack. I am going to talk to a few other people and see what can be done. I have some ideas but they involve a lot of work.

    If I have stove in small cabin and want to attach this. Would it be ok, using wood stove to heat up cabin. But not using oven pipe. Would it warp the oven? Seems like too much heat too often.

    • @charlesartificer2158
      @charlesartificer2158  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Yedsaid I have used this at least 40 to 50 times and it shows no warping. The stainless steel it is made of is of good quality and decently thick. Now with all that said I am not sure leaving it on long term and keeping it that hot all the time is a great idea. If I was you I would install it when I needed to bake something and then afterwards remove it. I hope that answers your question.

    I was looking at getting this oven but I use a bell tent and not sure how much room there would be from the oven to centre tent pole! I estimate from the edge of the oven flue to the back it would be 3.5" of oven. Or if I have the oven sideways 3.1" Appreciate if you could confirm. Don't want the tent pole heating up as a fire risk!

    • @charlesartificer2158

      Ok maybe my coffee has not fully kicked in yet so I will ask. Do you want to know how much stove body there is from the edge of the smoke stack? like to the back and to the side?

    • @marycmcnaught
      @marycmcnaught ปีที่แล้ว

      @@charlesartificer2158 yes that would be brilliant whenever you have time to measure. Would really appreciate it. My tent pole runs maybe about 5" to the winnerwell flue pipe and straight up out the apex. Should have measured the distance last time out.! Then I thought I could maybe put it sideways to give a bit more distance. Cheers Mary

      @marycmcnaught Ok I got it out and did some measurements. From the stack to the back it is 3.5 inches and to the sides 3 inches. Seems like your calculations were on the money. Now I may have a solution to move that oven farther away from your center pole. But it will move the stoves footprint farther away from the pole as well which may or may not be a problem so take this suggestion for what it is worth. Winnerwell makes a 45 degree stove pipe section. if you were to buy 2 of them and put them to gather and then into the pipe oven that should move that oven away from your pole. I hope that makes sense. Here is a link to the pipe fitting on winnerwells site. winnerwell.us/collections/pipes-fittings/products/winnerwell-45-degree-pipe-section-2-5

      Thanks Charles. Really appreciate you taking the time to check this out. The 45° pipe is an interesting idea. I have taken the plunge and ordered it! I also saw a video that someone set it up at an angle with just the side corner running parallel with the tent pole so minamises the heat transfer. There is always options!

    They sell brushes for that. Clean after several uses. My ryobi cheap power washer cleans it fine

      @oliverseamus4133 how do you get down the sides of the oven? Or are you just using forced water?

    Costs $333.14 here in Canada we have to work that much harder to buy our preps.. but we'll worth it.

      The temps you’re gonna get on any non-creosote producing fire are going to be well above normal smoking temperatures.

    I'd bet you money you're absolutely right on that thermometer deal. I have never seen a single one of those style thermometers "STB" regardless of who made it....Get that fire hazard out? Christ man, IDK. It don't appear you can take the jacket off...I've seen chimney fires melt brick chimneys and it sounds like a rocket taking off. I'd hate to be asleep and that joker decide to torch
