Thank you! You too, Rob. Thought about you the other day. I put a Christmas vid with your sax style using free YT music. You might like it. th-cam.com/video/E4FEJUSIsuo/w-d-xo.html These guys are good whoever they are.
Oh, great. I think over time it has become my least fave of my jazz boxes on one hand. On the other I just had to have one because it seems to be an exact replica, at least to my memory of the one from the 40's. The wider V neck does take some getting used to. Although, I really didn't notice it at first. Wait,,,, the Stromberg is my least fave but give me a few minutes & I'll change my mind again! LOL. Good to hear from you, Andrew.
I wanted to thank you so much for the gifted spot on Metal Head Hippie show today. So unexpected, but very much appreciated. Thank you so much you are too kind sir 👏👏
greatvanzinni R4 (rock4 ever) and I just completed my first collaboration of "Midnight Jam" which we hope will be released very soon!!! Hope you'll check it out either on Ron 🌟Wards or ☮️Metal Head Hippie's ☮️show whichever has the fastest draw! Lol 😆 stay tuned my brother and friend! ✌🏻😎☮️✌🏻There's more brewing in the East! PeAce ✌🏻 Brother, Dana E💫
Thank you so much, TG! That is really nice of you. It is a cool one for sure. Not my fave by far but just old school enough for me to dig it. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi, David. Thanks for dropping by. It should be great for anything Swing. I got to play one of the originals way back in my youth & just loved how cool it was. This newer reproduction captures the vibe quite well, I think.
@@greatvanzini Thanks, I've tried Lukas AS with the Les Trem it is indeed really cool. We'll now have to fix that moving bridge of the AS which is the largest tuning stability problem with it, but not the Les Trem's fault. The bridge posts have too much play in the bushings which makes it move when using the trem. Should be fixed with some Teflon tape around the winding so it sits firm. Cheers, Martin
Thanks! 😃 You did fine. Yes, It is different. Originally designed in 1948 it has only recently made a big return to popularity. Thanks for coming by for a visit, R4.
Got myself one of these. Love it! The only issue im having is that the first string has a really low volume when connected. It seems the pickup is not grabbing the sound of the string for some reason.
Hey there thank you so much for giving my band a spot with Last Christmas on the MHH show tonight haven't seen a Gretsch and specially a Gretsch that you have there with those pickups for a long time my brother in law loved them and had a couple thanks for this share
I thought about a shirt. I could see Roo dragging with his mouth my guitar from the strap and me running after him. Hahahahahahahahah. Awesome vid Van. I love hearing your different guitars and how you got them etc.
LOL! Yes Roo could definitely find something to do with it, Thanks for coming by, Robert. Just dug your last backing track vid. It was great as is I thought.
Thank you very much, Simon. This is what appears to be a legit throwback to the 1940's. They made a ton of jazz boxes back in the day. Appreciate the visit & you guys rock too.
Hi, Clive. Good to see you. I am adapting but these days I use a Pod Go which has all sorts of different EQ's built in. & with some amps I can get the EQ right on the amp.
D"Addario i use alot too .. hey , everytime i really enjoy your jams , i wish it was longer !! 19 frets , not so many , but hey , all you need is a guitar in tune and sounding good , and you have the magic fingers to play !! accousticly it is a good guitar inded !!! Nice review mate , i want more jams ; )
Hey, Shake! Yeah, a lot of the jazz boxes have less frets. It's ok with me on these NO Cutaway models. Even with a cutaway it is still hard to get up way high. Thanks for stopping by.
I am extra good & hope you are too, William. I've kind of cut some of my chat time down except for Metal Head Hippie & The Tone King. Been busy with my jazz channel at th-cam.com/video/o62mxaP9ujw/w-d-xo.html Songs I've done over the past 4 years or so. Lame lull you to sleep music, LOL.
Hello, Michel! I have not tried one but have looked at them on line many times. I would love to get my hands on one. I knew I had seen your videos somewhere. It turns out I am sub'd from my Lawrs VanValkenburg Plus channel & now here too. You have many great music video's on your channel. & a sailor as well!!! I used to have a little west wight potter 15. Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a Century Deluxe.
@@greatvanzini Thank you so much! I love the style of these WWP's. Of course, there are none to be seen up here in Quebec! To bad! They are just the size I like. My best to you! :-)
Hey, Empirism! It is a good guitar but with the old school neck,,, a little thick for my liking, especially with the V. Sounds decent. Just a quirky one I had to have.
Great Vanzinni is this guitar just another horse 🐴 or is she real hard Blues horse 🐴 running wild? Either way, great demo my brother and friend! PeAce ✌🏻 Dana E💫
wonderful video! very beautiful guitar! looks so great!

Pretty sweet sound out of that beauty. Thanks for the rundown.
It's a fun one, Kinger! Not sure how it would be for metal. Well, yes I do know,,,, LOL.
I love Gretsch. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for visiting, Brian. This is a real different animal. Very unGretsch sounding & feeling but it is cool & fun. Very old school.
Sounds cool! Would love to get my hands on one of those!✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻🎸
Hi The Amateurs! Thanks for coming by. These are inexpensive new & I bet a steal if used in great condition. At least I would think.

Thank you, BC. I was pretty stumbley here. My fingers are not cooperating. Thanks for stopping by.
You have a lot of knowledge about guitars I absolutely love this vintage guitar
It is cool but in all honesty, not my fave. I just had to have it for the old school vibe. Thanks, MBR!

Wow! Your guitar looks so good! 🎸🎸
Thanks a lot! It is a cool old style guitar. Not my favorite but I love the retro look.
Congratulations.🎉🎊🎁 I may have misunderstood it in my poor English, but the pickup for jazz guitar is different. I learned to focus.👍👍👍👍
