In addition to tigers, the reserve is home to a variety of other creatures. Among them are Bengal floricans, hispid hares, leopards, and swamp deer.
There are excellent prospects for bird watching at this location. There are around 556 different species of birds there.
The Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, which lies in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, is bordered to the south by the Rivers Sharada and Khakra and along the Indo-Nepal border. Within the Lagga Bhagga Forest Range, the reserve occupies an area of 1087 square kilometres. The reserve's proposed buffer area is 627 square kilometres, while its intended core area is 1089 square kilometres. In 2008, the region was designated as a tiger reserve.
