I'd LOVE to see them bring back the whole "This monster is WAY stronger than you, you should not fight it yet!" Kind of thing. Just like, you're a starter hunter and there's a Rathalos or Glavenus wandering out in the fields that you should avoid. Would love the major challenge type thing
One thing I’m surprised you didn’t mention is the sandstorm. I wonder if there will be other natural disaster events such as avalanches in polar regions, and floods caused by rising tides in mangrove forests, swamps, and beaches Speaking of polar regions, Gammoth may finally get her return in MHWilds thanks to its massive spaces. Glavenus had IceBorne, Mizutsune had Rise, Astalos had SunBreak, now it’s Gammoth’s turn
This… the spacious locales could be giving a chance for giant monster such as gammoth najarala Lao gogmazios dahren (not in a ship hopefully) so many possibilities
Najarala would fit perfectly on the habitat we have seen in the trailer. And maybe we get a new snake wyvern to. Smaller then Najarala but is alot more swifter and faster
@@professionalidiot3268 While that might work I kinda think its still too small for them😅. Like the original fight has an massive continent sized desert to canonically work with
The big area, the symbol on the title, the possible return of snake wyvern, raid bosses, I really hope they bring back dalamadur. He really was the best monster in the entire monster hunter series. I can see him fitting in the wilds.
The new creatures look really cool and rather unique; definitely a fan. Also thrilled to see that weather may be an actual mechanic now, and not just a “hot weather/cold weather” thing. Although if they make a Lightningrod Monoblos… That sounds so fun!
@@maxspecs that I'm not sure. But I actually was working on a fan made Monster Hunter game where it did take place in Africa, before this came out and I was like "MH Africa is real!"
With how Cotton is giving us the Monster Hunter Videos, its safe to say that Josh/Alyia is in a state of transcended Hype that makes it impossible for him to do anything. That or he's stranded in the middle of the Ocean on another planet like in Subnautica and Raft.
8:43 Love how everyone is kinda talking about whether or not they're small monsters and not the fact that this could mean we can have more then 3 large monsters roaming around and not aggroing on each other and actually getting to see them cohabitate. Like imagine Rathalos taking down one of the pangolins and say Great Jagras comes out to investigate and instead of immediately obliterating the Great Jagras Rathalos just stands tall over its kill and gives a good ol roar scaring it off as it goes back to feeding. Or the raptor bird wyverns having multiple alphas in a pack buffing the complexity and intelligence of their attacks. Think about seeing a mated Rathian and Rathalos hunting together or defending their nest from a raiding Kulu but oh no Seregios swoops in on the chaos, or you get backed into a corner by a group of agitated monsters all brawling and in comes Bazle, oh whats that? This big kerfuffle has started a stamped better let things settle down and come back for your target in a bit, go gather some herbs or honey to restock your mounts pouch. The possibilities are endless when you can have groups of monsters interacting in ways you'd never ever think about. Im so excited to see just how deep of a breath these ecosystems can take and what life it breaths into the game
I’m glad someone else pointed this out. I do wonder if the quest ranking of the monster dictates its level like there could be six dromes but only three elder dragons or something like that
I feel like Basarios would fit perfectly in this sort of environment and in an open world MH game. It would make his gimmick of camouflaging as a rock pile much more effective. I can imagine just trying to cross a zone on you mount and trying to jump over some rocks in the way, just for it to come to life and attack you cause it was a Basarios.
I think we’re getting “Medium Monsters” considering how large some Herbivores have been in the past, and the fact that Male Kestodon feel like small monster bosses, and have more health than Aptonoth and Popo etc. Medium Monsters in my mind are the perfect way to clarify non-boss large creatures and especially if they want to highlight packs of predatory monsters (Great Wulgs???) while leaving the Large Monster category to solo Monsters or Pairs of Monsters My crack theory fueled by copium is that the ripple motifs, serpents, and reflective WILDS under the logo are confirmation Underwater combat is back.
The huge dry desert biome may actually revamp tons of disappointing and/or forgotten desert monsters like monoblos you mentioned but also the likes of sand barioth and nibelsnarf. And honestly, this map feels like the perfect spot for tartaronis from online.
I feel like I want to pitch in with a potential Frontier monster that might fit in this environment since Espinas has made this a possibility. I feel like Gurenzeburu or Kuarusepusu would be a good fit, I mean the whole gimmick with the Highlands in Frontier was the chaotic weather and Guren got enraged whenever it started storming and was able to use the spikes on its tail as lightning rods. Kuaru is perhaps an even better fit since it also uses lightning rod crystals and it also could be found in desert areas where its reflective crystals are even more powerful. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but the environment fits perfectly with their abilities.
Odibatorasu would also be a great fit, and if there is volcano and/or polar reigons as well, we could also see the return of akantor and ukanlos respectively
Honestly, due to the lightning rods and the storms, kirin and rajang seem like obvious choices, but I personally would love to see Namielle, my favorite elder dragon interact with lightning storms in this game
I'm really hoping there's a lot of environmental interactions in Wilds. Think about making your own lightning rods you can hurl at a monster and have it get struck during a storm. Inversely, you'd have to worry about lighting striking you before you can throw it. There's been some really great interactable stuff in the past so I'm hoping we just get more of that on top of what the Monster Hunter series has always been great at.
I'm hoping our pet Palakeet is the kind of thing that its growing with us and becomes more useful as the game progresses. lets say early game it can't quite fly yet, then as it gets older it practices gliding then by endgame it has full flight, maybe even some combat utility like Palamutes
I want seltas queen, duramburos, tetsucabra, and especially gammoth to return. Glavenus got world, mizu got rise, astalos got sunbreak, and now gammoth will get wilds. Gammoth returning this game really works with the huge areas too
Monsters I want to return in either Wilds or it's expansion (only listing monsters that didn't return in 5th gen): 6. Seltas Queen 5. Monoblos 4.Gammoth 3. Agnaktor 2. Bloodbath Diablos 1. Disufiroa
We do see the birds snapping upwards, which implies to me that they're snapping at flies! This absolutely gives them a symbiotic relationship, with the pangolins protecting the birds from lightning and the birds eating the pesky flies that would harass the pangolins. It's also interesting to me that one of the male pangolins seems to have much shorter spikes than the other males. Perhaps a subordinate male type? Or maybe the monsters are going to be more distinguishable as individuals, with variations in their appearance.
I'm more interested in the world, endemic life and how the monsters interact with said features more so then the design of the monsters themselves. Been playing monster hunter on and off since the first one and World was a huge shift for me to the point where I could hardly put any hours into Rise because I want more of what World did for the series. Thanks for the video!
There was a suspicious lack of returning aquatic monsters in rise and world. Zamtrios, Lagiacrus, Plesioth, Gobul, etc, etc. I think that underwater combat will return with this game, and with it a plethora of aquatic monsters- including old monsters we haven't yet fought underwater like Namielle and especially Almudron who seems to fit this setting. Hoping for some new underwear carapaceons and a piscine wyvern flagship (doubt). Fingers crossed that they take advantage of this especially wild looking setting to add some new bugs while they're at it
Not to mention the logo seems to be reflected, with a line separating the reflection from the main logo. Possibly hinting to the fact that water combat will return
@@sharkt9877a based opinion that i agree with fully. I was actually introduced to monster hunter in the third generation, and loved getting to lay the smackdown to aquatic monsters in their natural habitat.
I would love to see a ecosystem as MH World, but to a next level, making Hunter feel there are part of living environnement, Monster/ animals are with weapon gameplay the core of Monster Hunter. So hype to see the new MHW! :)
Yeah I want to see us be a part of the food chain. World is one of my favorite games ever though I will say I would like them to bring this feeling of respect for a dangerous environment. Like you can't just casually walk around and hide or run from a monster back to camp. We're out in unexplored territory; you have to adapt and survive. I can't wait for this game!
Just imagine riding across the desert on a quest to investigate some concerning tracks and then the ground starts shaking making the sand shift beneath your hunter. The camera pans out and you realize you’re in the middle of the “tracks” and then slowly either Dalamadur or Laviente rises up to stare you down. If we don’t get a new snake Wyvern and either of the snake elders I would be extremely sad. Obviously I’ll be extremely happy because I’m playing a new monster hunter game…but also still sad lol
i hope elder dragons that can control the weather actually change the weather. Running into a Velkhana who summons a blizzard cutting down visability stuff like that would be cool. Kushala Daora summoning high winds that slow you down or maybe knock you over and you need to find cover would be so cool man.
honestly wouldn't be surprised that packs of monsters being a new mechanic for this game with lower tier monsters staying in bigger packs like the desert goss harag thing having a pack of 7. I also wouldn't be surprised that turf wars would become a bigger thing in this game like they wanted in world with monsters very organically attacking each other. imagine a pack of these things trying to take down a paired up rathian and rathalos.
The bear like monster biting sideways indicates to me if at all that it bits sideways to attack the male monsters that have the lighting rods on it's back kinda like how rajang goes after the unicorns for it's horns (forgot the unicorns name lol) so it bites sideways to break off the spike on the other Monterey back for whatever reason
I only just noticed: at 0:35, you can see one of the bear-lion things pick up and throw a pangolin. I hope this means that we're getting new hunting animations á la Great Jagras.
I get definite middle eastern/north African vibes here. The dust storm transitions, rich areas around water sources with rough distant rock, the very music choice is a mix of the region. Gonna use my J'zargo voice when I'm playing with friends.
It would be interesting if the mount acted like a mobile support base. There would be designated safe spots on the map where you’re able to set up a camp. Perhaps the mount can’t directly assist you in combat, but are able to move around and offer support, like a target for a grappling hook since it seems like we still have the slinger based on the hunter’s left arm on the trailer. Also, this is just how I feel, but I don’t believe it’ll be one massive open world map. I feel like they’re going to have multiple maps, but are very few like 2 or 3, and each are massive enough to house maybe 2 or 3 biomes that change based on the weather. Lastly, what I’m truly excited for is the possibility to hunt siege or titanic sized monsters, and with the new interaction with the environment, they could truly portray the true power of elder dragons by finally making them as lore-accurate living forces of nature.
As for that last point, imagine if we can actually fight an adult dalamadur, since the ones we fight in mh4 are specifically stated to be adolescent. Would also fit in with the snake motif too
@@sebastianbronowicki7073 that's it, that's the direction I really hope Capcom would take. To let us fight those titanic bosses in an expansive map such as this instead of an arena with gimmicks. I'm not saying there shouldn't be gimmicks, but I like the idea that we could hunt it openly while there could be old ballistae, environmental hazards, or anything similar scattered across the map for us to exploit while it's on the run or moving across the map instead of those gimmicks suddenly just appearing when the battle reaches a certain phase
@@serapheid3669 now that I think about it, it would also be the perfect opportunity to bring back yama tsukami with just how long it's been since we've last seen it, as a flying mount could pair quite nicely with it
Cotton missed 1 more monster. At the end of the teaser when the dust gets blown off and the Pangolin monster came into frame you can see babies... BABY PANGOLINS!!!
There also seems to be indevidual variation in monsters here. Some of the pangolins have slightly different colors and some males have smaller or larger spikes on their backs. The bear-lion things also have this, because most have long tails, but one indevidual in the trailer has a short stubby tail. Also, huge open environments? That looks like a dream for gammoth... Please Capcom, please!
I love that they are ramping up realism with the monsters interacting with one another on a bigger scale! I hope to see monsters camouflaging from predators, territorial disputes while on expeditions, monsters stalking you and sniffing you out because they are curious! Food chain mechanic, and monsters trying to intimidate the hunters and other creatures! I love the dynamic weather also! And I hope we get explore every single segment of each map and revisit old maps from world and iceborne and discover never before seen creatures, and a vast ocean map and a underground "hollow Earth" type map!
During the freeze frame of the bear-like monsters it kinda looks like they have fangs, almost like Barioth but different color. That said when he shows the lunge animation you dont see any fangs but tbh at this point, I wouldn't be suprised if it does have fangs, and I would not be against that either, it would be kinda different if they did and neat to have a saber-toothed bear lol
Maybe I'm reaching a bit with this theory but I think the big bear monsters could be our first pack large monster. I think it would be really cool idea, being far too big to be a small monster but maybe not big enough to contest with the bigger predators so they work as a pack to be considered as one single large monster. Each would have very little health compared to normal large monsters but not small monster levels of health either. It would be a battle of slowly trimming down the herd.
Those one monster(s) look like a non-snow version of that [Goss Harag]. The shape, size, and face. But the colors are definitely different. 7:36 - Ah, you mention it.
theres some things you got wrong, the "birds" are not birds, they are small bipedal creatures. like the shakalaka. if you look more closely you can see the large ears and the fact that what looks like wings are infact just part of a fur pattern, they also have no beaks either. so its not a bird, itf a cute fluff friend.
Another monster I can see being in here is rajang. I know he’s been in like every game since he came out but that lighting rod thing on the pangolins would function like a kirin horn and therefore a great meal for him.
With the birds riding on the pangolins to avoid storm damage, it could be an amazing little detail if the birds being on their backs was a little detail you could check and it would show the storm is about to arrive
To me, the 4 circles that appear next to the serpents in the logo look a lot like the circular stone "structures" we see in the landscape, so my current theory is that either the flagship, or the end boss, is going to be a serpent elder dragon that's been making those circles in the landscape
My thought for the bear monsters is that they're loosely based off of mole rats, or similar burrowing rodents. The long bushy tail is not quite like a lion's, and more similar to a rodents in my opinion. That, plus a focus on biting attacks and sunken/not visible eyes makes me think these bears are ground dwelling. Plus, mole rats are the only eusocial mammals in existence, meaning they are communal and form "hives" like bees and ants, and they live in Africa. I just think it's a better match than lions or baboons
This is what I've been missing. This ecology, this kind of interactions between the creatures and the environment. This is what Rise has been lacking and I've been looking for it since MHW/IB. The world already feels alive and it's just an announcement trailer. This may not be called Monster Hunter World 2(it doesn't really matter to me) but it might very well be the sequel to it. I mean, the font alone kinda says it.
I dont think there basic fang beast animations. If you look closely there not claw swiping there grabbing the pangolin monsters with there mouth and throwing them. You can see them move with the bigger monster like their getting picked up before they go flying. You can see it more clearly in the scene where the pangolin monster gets struck by lightning. Next to it one of the big monsters are throwing one of the smaller ones.
It is also noticeable in the video where the lightning strikes the armadillo, the two monsters, like Goss Harag, have one with a long tail and the other with a short tail, perhaps it is how they represent male and female in those monsters.
I could also see this as a game similar to, for example, the Horizon series, based on the huge areas and the herds of big monsters you can just find roaming around.
Something I would love to see is a new lynian species based on meerkats. They could make their homes in underground tunnels and pop out to attack either the monster or the hunter, based on the tribe or possibly some sort of reputation mechanic! I also think a fanged beast or wyvern based on an aardvark would be amazing! And as much as he annoyed me in GU, I think a Bulldrome with an UPDATED fight would fit this game very well as a wart hog sort of thing.
Two things about the pangolins I noticed, there appear to be varying sizes for the lightning rods on the males and there were some much smaller members shown in the herd under the title reveal, presumably babies.
Personally the five monster I want to show up in Wilds are Nargacuga, Glavenus, Nerscylla, Zinogre, and Qurupeco. I feel like they’d fit into the world perfectly. I have a whole list I ended up putting together of all the monsters I’d love to be in the game. Also I think the small birds riding on the Pangolin monsters are probably like Oxpeckers where they ride on large herbivores and eat insects and parasites off them.
7:54 this is an animation similar to what Tigrex and some other monsters have. That open Mouth lunge with the left claw slamming down on the ground. Cool to see it used for a Fanged Wyvren style Monster :D
1:37 a symbiotic relationship that is more akin to what African Black Rhinos and Oxpecker birds have. The birds will travel with/on the rhinoceros and will eat any insects/parasites like ticks. The birds get free meals, and the rhinos get free pest control. That is what I see here with these monsters and the birds that are perched on them.
If we're going African, perhaps a digging Trapdoor Spider Temnoceran? Could imagine it combining ambush tactics & reusing the rock armor mechanic from Shara Ishvalda to try & jump-kill
I would love monster hunter wilds to be a game about the ancient civilization. It would be a good excuse to bring the equal dragon weapon concept from mh1 and make it canon
While I do think, unless they have a lot more water in this one than I'm expecting from the trailer, that underwater combat will NOT return, I do think that Lagiacrus may finally have its opportunity to return in this game. Firstly, there is the fact that he fits thematically, with there being several species of crododile found heavily in the waters of africa, and having lagiacrus work similarly to older gen plesioth, but instead of having to try to get it out of the water, lagiacrus starts its engagement with you by surprise attacking you by leaping out of the water. Secondly, if what you suspect with snake wyverns making a return is true, then it is especially likely the problems that prevented lagi's return in worldborn/risebreak will have been solved, as snake wyverns would likely also have a similar issue of too many points of contact with the ground. So if we do see snakes, even if lagiacrus returns in a similar fashion to how he did in Generations or closer in likeness to his subspecies, I find it fairly likely they will bring lagi back alongside the snakes.
Things I notice: The bear things could be using the storm to prey upon the pangolins... OR they could be running from it too and merely panicking... However if they're somewhat Lion based they COULD be the first pack based large monsters..
It’s probably wishful thinking, but imagine a siege monster like Lao Shan Lung wandering through different zones in a relatively predictable pattern, with you able to make your own siege equipment, and using that and the environment to launch an ambush from a zone of your choice. Between the mount’s mobility and the potential ability to climb monsters with the clutch claw, that might make that a seriously epic fight.
I hope that the mount is actually several mounts, imagine a type of minigame where we hunt for eggs or small animals and train them to be our mounts, of course there doesn't need to be 70 types, just one for each type of environment and location, like one that flies, one that swims, one that climbs and so on. It would be cool, everyone would have their own with their skins and modifications like more bags to carry more things, less bags to be faster, a loadout maybe. Also a mount that swims could easily be our way to have underwater or shallow water combat
Great Jaggi would be a perfect fit for this new game as the inspiration for the design is a frilled lizard as well as being able to swarm you with and command 10-20 jaggi as you fight him with different calls for different tactics. I will die on my hill saying pack raptor monsters needed a game like this to really shine
That Raptor Mount is so awesome!!! I love how it’s run goes from typical Raptor depictions to more Famged Wyvern-like and that it can jump and glide!! I really hope we’ll get to customise it!!
IDK if anyone noticed but, during the lightning strikes. It pans to that C shaped rock formation. If you slow it down, you will notice that lighting strikes up from the ground and arks back downward. I believe this may be an indication that something is specifically causing the lightning storms.
I wonder if the new game might be in some way a larger take on the guiding lands from MHW, where it’ll be less about taking hunts for specific monsters and more going out into the wilds and seeing what’s out there or luring specific ones out and fighting more than just the quest monster/s before returning to town.
Everything screams Africa, it would all fit the theme really well, but the logo looks Aztec, or at least the highly generic Aztec style you often see in movies and games. Aztec mythology of course has a pretty important snake god, Quetzalcoatl, which fits the logo being two snakes (interesting to keep in mind Rise had the Quetzalcobra, a rare endemic life)
I see a mirroring. The WILDS is mirrored, like a reflection in the water and those 2 dragons in the logo are sorta mirroring each other. One is green and the other tan, probability signifying the changes in the weather and whatnot with the tan for the stormy, hazardous moments and the green for the more normal, peaceful maybe. That would make sense with the green and tan being elder dragons. Maybe the green one is a "peaceful" elder dragon who will dispel the hazardous weather the tan one makes after a while and then some time after that the tan will cause more chaos and this repeats in a day/night cycle sort of way? Probably not, but seems interesting. I also personally want underwater combat back. It would work since there's most definitely going to be a large monster based on the nile crocodile.
the birds on the backs of the new herbivores that don't have the massive spikes remind me of how in MHW the apceros would have little birds on their shells in MHW. i can't wait to see more endemic life that interact with herbivores or even large monsters. i still really want a windrake flock leader for a flying wyvern/large monster, i've wanted this since we saw the variety of wingdrakes in MHW. most were passive, some were aggressive, and the most unique were the sonic screaming ones that would call a diablos in the wildspire wastes so if you set them off when a large monster was on the spot while a diablos was in their nest the diablos would pop up to hit them and make them fall into its nest. nah that's not goss harag related, maybe similar in its bear shape but they are small monsters, roughly like slagtoth or large popo size. i'd really love a bear drome monster. since great izuchi i've been begging for more unique and creative pack hunting monster behavior. give us pack leader bear, pack leader wingdrake, hell even pack leader snake. there's no reason that all of these should stay low tier either, like the pack leaders tend to be, let them be higher on the food chain. yeah, i miss monoblos and have been begging for him to get a rework to differentiate him from diablos. maybe make him a better flier so he mixes both flying and digging attacks with his biggest attack being a mix of popping out of the ground and diving at you from the air horn first to dig in a combo. oh yeah, a lightning monoblos rare species down the line. yeah, larger monsters like duramberos and gammoth will feel right at home in this game's insanely open maps. please have all the fated 4 in game and make subspecies for the 3 that lack them by the master rank expansion Capcom, i'm begging you. imagine duramberos in a more dynamic map where he's allowed to knock over trees for both feeding behavior and in combat. his spin would be much more terrifying if you had to watch out for trees that he knocks over. i've been hoping for a snake flagship for a long time, a way to make it very clear in marketing that the issues that prevented snakes and some leviathans from returning in 5th gen is no longer a problem. that way, almost nothing is off the table for monster skeletons and design.
The most hype for me is the reintroduction of a living world. Endemic life will finally be small creatures just minding their business and adding immersion, and small monsters will move from zone to zone and not just atomize the moment a large monster is in sight. Definitely the spiritual successor to World, would make sense since they’re both MHW.
the lion monsters seem to have different sizes within the pack that we are shown, but if you look closely there is one toward the back right side (when they chase the hunter down the sand dune) that is definitely larger that all the others, and in the shot after they attack the pangolin monsters you see them from behind, and are able to see the large one has a much shorter tail. If they are indeed molded after lions this is probably the male. Anyway, can't wait to hunt them for my new hat
The strangest thing about the goss harag looking monsters is that they look like your average large monster that you would get as a target in an urgent quest but there’s so many of them in one place that makes me think small monster but they’re so big
Rat-bears! Look at the face, ears and teeth. Rodents can also open their mouths very wide. Another telling feature is the tail. Yes; giant, wild, hairy Rat-bears!
Birds hitching a ride on animals is kind of a norm, birds will pick parasites off of animals, and it gives them a low effort access to food, typically insects, that tend to hang around larger animals. It's a great bit of immersion.
Looking at that “wingdrake” it seems more like a certain rubbery chicken we all know of. The head is hard to define and if it is far away it would make sense to not see it clearly, but that thin then round ended tail is definitely a characteristic of gypceros. It would also make a lot of sense for gypceros to be there ecologywise
With the snake motifs, I'd love if they add a Dalamadur as a Siege Monster. Imagine if they actually made part of the map be *ON* the Dalamadur like how you could fight on Zora Magdaros. Hitting weak spots and what not.
Okay, wild story prediction. Based off the logo alone, I'm theorizing that our story is gonna revolve around two snakes. The gold one facing upwards, and the black one facing down. The gold snake is a mama, with four baby snakes as the rings on the side, and seemingly an egg coiled in her tail on the bottom. The black snake is the natural enemy of the gold snake, and is trying to kill her and her babies. Rather than us as hunters trying to just kill stuff, for one reason or another we're trying to find and protect the gold snake. Maybe it's an endangered species or critical to the environment? And to do so we need to slay the black snake. To add a touch more speculation here, maybe they're also seen as representations of day and night? Idk, just my thoughts/predications based on the logo. So excited for this game!
i would absolutely love the return of snake monsters, maybe also a few arachnid monsters like the return of the Nercylla subspecies, and i would like to point out that this is ONE of the maybe many zones the game could have, after all, i dont think they will just throw us in a single zone and call it a day, think on how different habitats could home different monsters that had adapted to its environment, maybe this could also mean an ice zone and the return of Zamtrios, maybe even Gammoth, cuz we did get Glavenus in iceborne, Astalos and Mitsuzune on rise/sunbreak, so gammoth would be the only one left also, on the theme of multiple locales, with the introduction of map weather events, maybe in forest areas a lightning storm could bring out some amphibian monsters, snow areas could have avalanches caused by turftwars, volcano areas an eruption maybe we must also have in mind that this is 1- the first trailer as well as just a reveal, 2- the game comes out in 1-2 more years thus more trailers may come as well as more reveals and another thing noone has mentioned is the weapon on the hunter´s back, if you analize it properly, its not something we have seen before, its not big enough to be a greatsword, not long / thin enough to be a long sword either, its like a point in between, look at the handle, its bulky, of course it may be the decoration but also it could mean that it transforms, look at the back of the blade, it has another place to grab it too, this is VERY stretched but maybe you can remove the blade, hold it by that handle, and use the "main" handle as something else
It may be challenging to do for CAPCOM since there are Hunters like Peppo or TDS who are literally the monsters of the franchise.
Yeah. Anjanath was awesome in World for that reason.
Bazel and Anjanath haha! Rajang in the begining of Rise as well.
Imagine an area where you just started playing, and a teostra is just sleeping in an area
Screw it. Have a low tier elder like Teostra on the map right off the bat
One thing I’m surprised you didn’t mention is the sandstorm. I wonder if there will be other natural disaster events such as avalanches in polar regions, and floods caused by rising tides in mangrove forests, swamps, and beaches
Speaking of polar regions, Gammoth may finally get her return in MHWilds thanks to its massive spaces.
@@emanuelaponte5013 Agreed. Durambaros in spacious forest clearings and Gravios in molten wastelands would also be very cool

Medium Monsters in my mind are the perfect way to clarify non-boss large creatures and especially if they want to highlight packs of predatory monsters (Great Wulgs???) while leaving the Large Monster category to solo Monsters or Pairs of Monsters
My crack theory fueled by copium is that the ripple motifs, serpents, and reflective WILDS under the logo are confirmation Underwater combat is back.
Underwater combat would be amazing to see again. Put leviathan monsters back in their natural habitat and let us kill them in it

I'd love to see Baruragaru from the Frontier game in a main cannon game.
would love to see dalamadur again
Dalamadur❤
It would be so funny to be looking out across the landscape, and then off in the distance you see Duramboros helicoptering from one place to another
The huge dry desert biome may actually revamp tons of disappointing and/or forgotten desert monsters like monoblos you mentioned but also the likes of sand barioth and nibelsnarf.
I also hope gurudamasu returns as well :D
Odibatorasu would also be a great fit, and if there is volcano and/or polar reigons as well, we could also see the return of akantor and ukanlos respectively
Honestly, due to the lightning rods and the storms, kirin and rajang seem like obvious choices, but I personally would love to see Namielle, my favorite elder dragon interact with lightning storms in this game
NAMIELLE
Monsters like Duranbaros, Bloodbath Diablos and Monoblos would fit very well here.
Remove the unofficial black dragon aka bloodbath diablos and we would be good
As much as I like Bloodbath it is highly unlikely for it to make a return. Deviants in general
I love that concept
I want seltas queen, duramburos, tetsucabra, and especially gammoth to return. Glavenus got world, mizu got rise, astalos got sunbreak, and now gammoth will get wilds. Gammoth returning this game really works with the huge areas too
Gammoth wouldn't return because it's lives in the snow mountain maybe it might be in the monster hunter wilds expansion pass
Monsters I want to return in either Wilds or it's expansion (only listing monsters that didn't return in 5th gen):
6. Seltas Queen
5. Monoblos
4.Gammoth
3. Agnaktor
2. Bloodbath Diablos
Fingers crossed that they take advantage of this especially wild looking setting to add some new bugs while they're at it
They’ve said they wanna bring dire moralas back but won’t without water combat so it’ll happen

Kushala Daora summoning high winds that slow you down or maybe knock you over and you need to find cover would be so cool man.
I want some of the Frontier Monsters in Wilds. Abiorugu please!
honestly wouldn't be surprised that packs of monsters being a new mechanic for this game with lower tier monsters staying in bigger packs like the desert goss harag thing having a pack of 7. I also wouldn't be surprised that turf wars would become a bigger thing in this game like they wanted in world with monsters very organically attacking each other. imagine a pack of these things trying to take down a paired up rathian and rathalos.

I could see a subspecies of monoblos that could use their horn as a lightning road and learned store to use that lightning to attack
At 0,46 in the trailer is one of the tails of the bear things shorter than in the scenes this might mean that these creatures have Part-breaks
The Goss Harag-like creature is most certainly the legenday manbearpig.
I can see Seregios in that desert map. As for other monsters I think or wanna see return, I’m not quite sure yet
Well seregios is literally everywhere so we don’t need to worry about biome cohesion with him
I really want to see a high poly high detailed Seregios..unlike..uh...rise
Maybe a subspecies seregios
Still haven’t seen anyone talk about the statue at the end on the left. It looks like a giant bird.
The one monster that’s basically already confirmed that you never mentions is rathian. If rathalos is in it, she will certainly be too.
I mean, the font alone kinda says it.
pukei is almost certainly coming back as the hunter is wearing its armour as well
I dont think there basic fang beast animations.
How about a zebra. It would be cool to have more horse type monsters like kirin
A zebra that's cause paralysis damage to the hunter
The mount looks like a Managarmr from ARK
I would love a Nergigante that has these lightning rods as spikes and can attract lightning and use it
@vladorac6 Really can he attract the lightning I thought he would just charge himself with lightning
The only monster hunter games that logos gave anything to do with their stories are Rise and Sunbreak. So I wouldn't read too much into Wilds's logo.
One of the bear-lions is larger than the rest and has a nub-tail. You can see it from behind in the lightning storm scene.
No one else sees a giant rat in that bear/monkey/lion monster? The fur, the stance, the skinny/long tail? That thing is just a New York sewer rat.
The bears are reminiscent of a mho monster called Caserber, but instead of a beaver, they are indeed more baboon-y
If we're going African, perhaps a digging Trapdoor Spider Temnoceran?
Could imagine it combining ambush tactics & reusing the rock armor mechanic from Shara Ishvalda to try & jump-kill
my brain immediately thinks of shrouded nerscylla as well
I would love monster hunter wilds to be a game about the ancient civilization. It would be a good excuse to bring the equal dragon weapon concept from mh1 and make it canon
If Congalala and Kecha Wacha doesn't return, I'm going to riot.
Between the mount’s mobility and the potential ability to climb monsters with the clutch claw, that might make that a seriously epic fight.
dalamadur maybe too? the sand whale elder dragon would work too i feel like a diabolos will come too
I hope that the mount is actually several mounts, imagine a type of minigame where we hunt for eggs or small animals and train them to be our mounts, of course there doesn't need to be 70 types, just one for each type of environment and location, like one that flies, one that swims, one that climbs and so on.
One big thing I noticed is he dust clouds before the logo create grass and water
No it doesn't. The wind just blows the sand away. You can see the water and some grass poking out of the sand before its blown away.
@@connorthompson9 the trees become greener too
the lion monsters seem to have different sizes within the pack that we are shown, but if you look closely there is one toward the back right side (when they chase the hunter down the sand dune) that is definitely larger that all the others, and in the shot after they attack the pangolin monsters you see them from behind, and are able to see the large one has a much shorter tail.
6:46 falling with style
I can't believe they added Rathalos to this game
Please bring Bulldrome back! The pack monsters remind me of the Bullfango Bulldrome packs.
I hope we get more dinosaur monsters like the mount the hunter rides on in the video!
Possum Bears!
Ratatoskr suggested the Goss Horog animals might be a new size catagory of medium creatures. Which could be interesting.
They look more like a cross between a baboon and a lion, look at the face its very red
So excited for this game!
i would absolutely love the return of snake monsters, maybe also a few arachnid monsters like the return of the Nercylla subspecies, and i would like to point out that this is ONE of the maybe many zones the game could have, after all, i dont think they will just throw us in a single zone and call it a day, think on how different habitats could home different monsters that had adapted to its environment, maybe this could also mean an ice zone and the return of Zamtrios, maybe even Gammoth, cuz we did get Glavenus in iceborne, Astalos and Mitsuzune on rise/sunbreak, so gammoth would be the only one left
also, on the theme of multiple locales, with the introduction of map weather events, maybe in forest areas a lightning storm could bring out some amphibian monsters, snow areas could have avalanches caused by turftwars, volcano areas an eruption maybe
we must also have in mind that this is 1- the first trailer as well as just a reveal, 2- the game comes out in 1-2 more years thus more trailers may come as well as more reveals
and another thing noone has mentioned is the weapon on the hunter´s back, if you analize it properly, its not something we have seen before, its not big enough to be a greatsword, not long / thin enough to be a long sword either, its like a point in between, look at the handle, its bulky, of course it may be the decoration but also it could mean that it transforms, look at the back of the blade, it has another place to grab it too, this is VERY stretched but maybe you can remove the blade, hold it by that handle, and use the "main" handle as something else
