    Hi Tim
Love your channel. Been with you 3 or 4 years. I’m from Boone county. I had a plumbing heating and electrical business in Lebanon for 44 years. I grew up in the New Brunswick area and a neighbor of Sandy’s family, so it’s great to see them. I’m actually a member of that church. I lost my wife in 2015 then later remarried and moved east of Louisville. 😅

For 12 years I tilled gardens with a Troy Horse, much smaller and less powerful than a rear tiller. For sod covered gardens I would til one day and come back 3-5 days later and tilled again. This allowed the sod to dry and the second time; two passes and it was smooth and fluffy….

It be interesting if the tractor 3 point would handle it better without the QH. If I remember from your BX to 1025 review the BX had a slightly higher 3 point capacity so I'd like to see the seeder behind one. Nice video, J

    • @TractorTimewithTim

Yes, bx would be able to pick it up.

I agree without the quick hitch and rate on the arms I think you would be fine, still near the limit but would lift it for what you need it to . Extending out that couple inches will make a difference for lifting it using the QH.

I would also like to see how JonnyX would handle it.

Great system tilling and seeding! I've never seen one of those battery powered handheld seeders. That would be great for spreading salt/antiskid on a sidewalk in the winter. Those little handles are hard to crank with thick gloves on!

Not sure when you videoed the seeding job, but the grass looks green all around the church. Over here, about an hour west from your Illinois farm, I haven't mowed in almost two months. The farmers have had only one day lost during harvest and they are getting very close to finishing up. No rain outs, except one day. I think they may finish in record time. It's extremely dry.

Do you get many weeds growing up in the new grass not killing off what was there? I usually spray with round up first and kill everything off before tilling for grass, am I wasting my time.
