I love this (including the rather inspired intro). The headlines are still hilarious on 4th watch! 🤣 And the art history snippet made me go away and look up the early history of Frida. Thank you for sharing this video. Brilliant!
Oh how I loved this video, especialy the intro which shows your sence of humor in every detail (as also seen in orher videos)😂Thank you for making my day start with a smile❤️ Hope to see loads more of your videos 🙏
Thanks a lot! I always try to put a little skit in my video (usually a movie parody, actually) but they sometimes take more effort than the video itself(including the painting!) 😂😂😂
@@mygeekfamilycotton I can see the effort going into your videos and I appreciate it, you're doing great! The interest in art made me click on one of your videos, but your sense of humour is the cherry on the topping and you make me look forward to your upcoming videos! The combination of art, vlog, humour and filming is just awesome :)
Inspiring video! I'll try to paint myself in this way to see what´s come out! Thank you for sharing the way you approach art and painting in such a good mood. Following you from Kenya.
You are a very talented and versatile artist, good video, I hope you also make one about Soutine, Chagall, Roualt, Braque... Greetings and best wishes for success.
Hi Kirsten! Good question! There are several unfinished paintings from Frida Kahlo (most notably her self portrait in Detroit from 1932) and they actually don’t appear to have any underpainting. It looks like she was sketching her subject and starting to place the base colors directly. So, no underpainting (like a Rembrandt would do, for exemple), but she was later adding the shadows and lights to her mid-tones. Hope this helps!
Look, I am not here to start anything, so I guess, I’ll just say this: thank you for trying to watch my attempt at making something fun, I feel a bit sad that you didn’t like it, but after all, it is only a TH-cam video, and I think we will both manage to survive. Cheers!

Thank you it does! I’m recreating one of her paintings for a “copy a masterpiece “ class assignment. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ Love your work
Thanks a lot for watching!
The Asian Woman is the accomplice? I doubt it. I think the bearded guy is more likely to be her side-kick.
😂😂😂 that’s possible, indeed!
@@mygeekfamilycotton Love your videos! Thanks for all the hard work you put in them. ;)
Awww, thanks a lot! Just trying to have fun and share it with you guys!
How do you paint a portraiture ? the different colors that you use for different planes of face (after shadows) seems very complicated.
Did you use acrylic paint?
Hi! Yes, acrylic
Oui oui
Video starts at 3:05
The fancy TV interview intro was far too long. 2 min is good.
I disagree.. I loved the intro!
Thanks Lani! To be fair, the “fancy interview” part is actually 1:57… so we are under 2minutes… 😋
@@mygeekfamilycotton 😁
Intro includes the actual Intro to the video which was more painful.
