I now have all of their recorded collaborations on CD. Thrilling!! Even if one listens to other versions w pleasure, one comes back to this one, at once authoritative & gorgeous.
The more I hear his voice the more I love it and the accompaniment is a marriage made in heaven! (Which it was)
An important document; I had this LP in the mid-80s, coupled with Winter Words. Marvellous focus and sense of stillness.
the Italian pronunciation is not very idiomatic (even if fairly acceptable), but his singing is most extraordinary.
