i have Aprilia SR 160 Race bought exactly two years back. My experience is good with the vehicle but feel it lacks speed especially while travelling in highways, it hardly crosses 90 kmph though it had excellent pick up. Maintenance is too low for Aprilia vehicles unless there is a damage due to accidents. So far i spent only for engine oil and service charges and nothing else. I am looking to buy Aerox 155 for drives ranging 300-400 km range. I feel aprilia didn't finetune the 160 cc engine properly

Sorry to say, but aprilia, on its own, might be a good scooter, but it is not a maxi scooter. Just adding a bulge to an existing scooter doesn't make it a maxi. If you remove the bulge/hump from the front, it would look like any ordinary typical scooter. Just an observation and not any bias...
Both are good in there own way, Aerox Prons:- Sporty Powerful Liquid Cooled Front Fuel Filler Multi Purpose Key slot Auto Engine on off Better boot SXR Prons:- Elegant (looks worth 160k) Foot Space Much Better Fit & Finish Rock Solid Handling Better Speedometer All LEDS Bigger Fuel Tank Aerox Cons:- No Solid Colours No front foot board space Flimsy parts, not promising for longer run. Not a looker in real, looks like its 125 and 100 cc siblings Though it looks good but on longer run, maintenance issues would be there like radiator is placed in a bad location would attract lot of dirt. No led indicators Sxr Cons:- Service Network not strong Fuel meter issue Lacks Low End power and top speed performance Front pockets actually useless in real life. No engine kill Verdict:- Both are power-full, though yamaha is way quicker. Aprilia is also not bad for day to day use. Yamaha is for college goer who needs a sporty design and powerfull fun machine, Aprilia is for the matured one who needs a premium look, better fit and finish, long lasting parts with a compromise of power. If you buy an aerox, your 50% ride partners would be chapris 🤪

I think Aprilia has speedo errors it might be going more than 90 but it's not showing.

If we compare Aerox and SR 160 then Aerox but if we compare SXR 160 and Aerox then it's clearly SXR 160 and also SXR 160 has more comfort than Aerox.
