This is Gate-Ah (Chris) I appreciate seeing all the views and comments. Glad to see Shelter is still going strong. It's been 20 years since we did this track. Wow!!! did I say that, lol. Peace
Thank you for bringing such happiness into my life, still..in 2018. Free your mind, free your spirit, let your body be freeeeee!! I love the singer's voice! Peace to you, brother!
I was blessed with dancing on the dance floors of the Shelter until the early hours of saturday mornings back in 92-93, Thumbs up if you used to have a Nocturnal Audio Sensory Awakening there every friday night too ;)
This song Is bringing tears to my eyes right now! @ the shelter on Hudson st. Sound factory bar... If I could just go back for one Friday night somewhere in 1990
REMINISCING HARD on the nights we danced in the 1990's in New Jersey USA at Club Zanzibar, Bogies, Club 88, Cheetah Club, in New York City at the Paradise Garage, Club Northmore, Bentley's, The Shelter, Studio 54, the Fun House, Club Leviticus, Perps in Harlem and in London UK at The Hippodrome to "The Shelter." Frankie Knuckles, Larry Levan, Dr Bob Lee, Merlin Bob, Timmy Regisford, Little Louie Vega, David Morales and a host of other legendary great house music DJ's get our respect and acknowledgments.
i had this song on a mix tape while i was in college.. instead of studying i would go into the park, lay down on the slide and get lost in the moon and stars while listening to this and many other great tunes of this era.. never gets old
Man you had to be in New York City when this House track was playing in the underground clubs Sound Factory, Sound Factory bar, The Tunnel, Webster Hall on black night. Magic!
This song was soooo hot. I remember going to a fashion show at the King Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College back in the 90's and they used this song to walk to. It was fierce!!! I've never forgotten that. Much love to the shelter... Dana T.
I remember having this song on a cassette tape for years until the tape finally broke. And then I remember partying at the Shelter from 2am until the sun was out, years later. hahahahhaa GOOD TIMES
O....M....G! Severe Eargasm!!! I so remember going bananas whenever I heard this song on late night pirate radio in Toronto, on Friday and Saturday nights in the late 80's- early 90's! I had this beautiful song, and others like it, on a much coveted, much loved CD for years, until it was stolen!! :( Blissfully happy times were had then! Ahh, memories! Thanks for the trip, boss!!! :D
I was a regular at the Shelter in the early 90's in New York City. It reminded me of the old Club Savage. However, the house music at the Shelter was great, and the underground sound was big then.
Hmmmm..... the 90's, just before the freaking gvrmnt told you the party's over since the Manhattan's plastic spoon rebels from Middle-East supposedly took yo liberties for useless security !! Miss this genuine era when music was so true...
@MrJumpoffabuilding Lol this is your comment? What is have to do with the gay fact? And you are not even on TH-cam anymore. So surprising. Continue to listen to Jonas Brothers.
With all due respect, they ain't catching the Holy Spirit @ a nightclub. They caught a spirit, but it's not The Holy Spirit. Holiness and nightclubs don't mix. I guess it was an analogy.

Absolute nonsense...one does not need drugs to feel uplifted by this music. You are missing the entire point of house....
1993, the Kerri that we all believed in... nowadays he's "evolved" to other crappy styles of house.
Classic
Weeeeeerrrrrrrkkkkkklkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
