Dear Nick, I have been a fan of your videos for the past 10 years and I am writing to place an order for "Petrel Play SG". I would like to express my gratitude for the inspiration, the aesthetic appeal of your performance, and the hard work that has gone into creating the video. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to quality. I look forward to receiving my order soon. Best regards, Gunkov Viktor
Truly enjoy this series. As I am watching this the have watch the other build series, I am compiling a list of tools you used. This way once I receive the kit, I'll be ready to build and not have to make numerous runs to the local box DIY store. Thanks for sharing.
Nick is NOT joking when he says not to buy the cheap tape. Seriously. Buy the good stuff. You'll actually save money and frustration by doing so. There are those that recommend Gorilla tape instead of the fiber reinforced strapping tape. Gorilla tape is terrible, in my experience. It will just let go with no warning, and if it's on wood, it'll take fibers with it. It's simultaneously too sticky and not sticky enough, plus it's expensive and thick. Strapping tape is awesome for this job.
I have not tried Gorilla tape myself, I have been happy with good 3M strapping tape. I tried a few different strapping tapes, but came back to the 3M stuff.
Wouldn't be able to be constructing my NH S&G Kit without the assistance of your videos. Thank you Nick.
I'm glad that they helped.
Can't wait to see Bill paddle this boat, I think he's earned it

I'm dreading this step on my build, but with your tips, Nick, I'll give it my best shot. Still a couple of weeks away before I am at that point..
It will work out fine I’m sure.

Is there a reason you didn’t cut out the control slot before joining the deck?
