A Real Human touch.. I can't imagine how I would feel if I listen to this song before my daughters wedding.. although they are still young, but.... it drives tears.

hey VIPtreats, i'm just a fan of najwa karam, and i know what this song is about, so i can answer ur question. she married this guy, n her dad didnt approve of him, (old arab mentality) she felt abandoned by her dad, so she sang this song for her dad telling him "dad i'm no longer a child, i'm ur baby but at the same time, i'm old enough to make my decisions in life", hope i answered ur question. i love najwa, she was a poemist before becoming a singer.
lol yeah wadi3 is a very good friend of my cousin michele Geha(a famous songwriter/poet) in lebanon he was always at my cousins house..its such a small world
hey VIPtreats, this song is about her and her father, in real life, she married someone her father didn't like, she felt her dad abandoned her, so she sang this song to her dad, telling him "dad i'm not a little girl anymore, ofcourse i'm ur baby, but i'm a grown woman too" stuff like that, its really amazing, everytime i hear it, it gives me chills. anyway, hope i answer ur question.
my aunty just happened to meet her when she was in our village and they got along very well..i dont know the full story..but our ties are closer to wadi3 his sons went crazy over my grandfather when they were here in australia for a funeral once..we know the family well..good friends..he is also related to a good friend of mine
the song talking about a father and his doughter,, its abou the time and how fast it is,the father treating the doughter as a little gitl, because she is a littel girl in his eys, and she telling him that she is not a girl any mor, then she asking him the share the responsiblety in the life,,cuz she cant go on alone,, she is complaning to him and he answers,, its like that,,and how hart to lose the father,, sorry for my bad english,, welcome..:)
@chehade3 Shukran, I appreciate the correction. I love Arabic so much, I wish I had someone to practice it with. Listening to music, I catch a word or a phrase here and there but just have to guess about how it all fits in.
@barca0watch Kathir kheirek--I needed the translation because I have only shwei shwei Arabic--I understood him to say "under my heart"--is it "you live under my heart"? This video breaks mine. Abi tried to teach me Lebanese, but he'd get too hung up on pronunciation so I never learned enough words to practice. He died in my arm five years ago and now I have only Rosetta Stone. Ya salaam.
i miss my father...this song is great.
najwa karam has the best female voice out there right now hands down.
