Of all the planner videos I have watched, you are the first person to tell me its ok to, and that I should, keep it streamlined and avoid a hundred planner techniques! I have been distracted and haphazard with planning because I can't make it work for me! You also have given me "permission" to integrate my phone with my planner! At last! I’ve watched so many planner reviews and can’t seem to find the right one... until now. 😁 Your planner is so classy looking and well thought out! I love the palette of neutrals, metallics, and hint of blue/text in your printables. Thank you very much for such a simple, functional planner (and for great ideas to build it out further) among the tons of overpriced ones out there on the market that don’t quite hit the mark.

And maybe a reasonable goal for those of us who have either never really been a book reader or those of us who have fallen out of the habit and how we could get back into it successfully. Thanks!
This video is great! So many good nuggets in here. I totally agree with tip #1 - one planner. I can't imagine trying to manage more than one. I tried a desk and a purse planner for a bit at the end of 2017 (and I mean a small bit, lol) and it was too much. I was then putting everything - personal and work tasks and appointments - in one Happy Planner classic spread, but I really wanted to go to a smaller size for portability. You're right, the classic could be carried around, but it limited the other things I could carry with me. I ended up getting two mini planners and putting them into one planner on larger discs, so I have two sections- one for personal and one for work tasks. This is working really wonderfully for me so far. I love having them separated but still in the same place. Thought that might be helpful for someone regarding tip #1 and the size question! Really though, I love this video and am I'm excited to check out your other videos. Thanks, Alexis!
I completely agree with your planner size analysis. I've been forcing myself to use a pocket size planner, but it just wasn't working. I went back to my very first planner...an A5. I'm back in love with planning again and it's working wonderfully for me! 😊
Useful as always - love how you set up for efficiency, and your inserts are so pretty as always - and TOTALLY agree about one place for time/task/calendar info. my belief is that no one is at maximum efficiency if they use multiple planners

Love this video. My favorite size is definitely the a5 size it works perfectly for me and I take it everywhere with me and just throw it in my purse or I just put it on the passenger seat of my car and it works out fine for on the go!

I’ll admit to having the Hobonichi cousin for my scheudule because I could keep my work schedule in the weekly section, and my personal schedule in the daily section, rather than have a separate planner for work. Projects, to-dos, and everything else go into my compact which is also my wallet. I stopped my A5, but may go back to it for scrapbooking in 2018.

I am new to the planning community and not to the digital age but in some aspects yes. My question to you is- I also have an apple phone. I use Google calendar as a catch all, but then I use my planner to keep track of my daily time blocking since I'm usually on my phone when I schedule clients. I like look of the disc planner, but how would I get started using one?? How do you get each page to fit in there, is there a punch that size?

Tracker 100 it's very dark on my end and I have it on my best setting with a note8 phone so not sure if it's just dark sadly. I'm having a hard time seeing any details of her cool planner 😲😲😢💖💖

I have a levenger junior size disc planner. I have never really used it because I wasn't sure how to. I just watched your video on how you set up your planner for 2018 and it gave me the courage to drag my disc planner out. do any of your bundles fit the junior(6 1/2 x 8 1/2 size disc planner?

I struggle with one planner due to having to keep work separate. SIGH! I have toyed with several planner sizes, as an A5 is way to big to carry around, especially since I have to keep work notes in a separate notebook due to confidentiality. I wish I could just quit making changes, or at least figure out what works...God knows with the amount of money I have spent on planners and inserts...well...let's hope my husband doesn't notice!

I used to use multiple planners. im following your great advice and using one planner. I also upgraded to an a 5 disc bound. Great help!

You can buy an arc punch from staples if you're using an arc cover. I think happy planner punches might be different from arc but not 100% sure

No, Arc sizes are Letter and Half Letter, while the happy planner uses its own sizing unfortunately.
