Mervyn was closely associated with the picturesque village of Armoy in Co. Antrim now famous for the Armoy Road Races. His personal history is told by his brothers', wife and son and his racing history is told by his sponsor, mechanic, friends and racing rivals.
Mervyn was the first of the famous Armoy Armada to start racing and over his short career secured 40 race wins. If you love stories from road racing in the 1970’s then this film is for you.

Great days sitting in the hedges at the Triangle and Dundrod feeling the punch in the bottom of your stomach as the two strokes blasted by. Todays riders and fans will never experience the amateurish excitement of everyday working lads mounting cobbled together bikes to become racing heroes to the local youngsters as we witnessed the speed, sounds, smells and gaudy colors of Irelands road warriors. Nothing else in our everyday lives rivalled the excitement or the spectacle of the road racers.
