- It's a VERY narrow window given the long wind-up, but since he's using Gravity Magic, Ranni's Dark Moon can perfectly draw in and nullify the flying Rock Sling attacks in both phases. Especially since I like the idea of this conflict as a Second Radahn Festival, it also seemed fitting to have Ranni lending a hand in Blaidd's absence. My eventual victory wasn't quite as clean on the counters, so I wanted to upload this attempt.
bro walk in with 5 guy against rahdan just like the base game
It's gotta be a second Radahn Festival to give the man the proper sendoff he deserves!
@@PierceArner Bro I’d be right with you if you set down the summon. FOR RADAHN!!! 🔥
@@kadimawolf7711 More participants for the festival = more good.
i forgot the dark moon deletes sorceries/incantation projectiles. thats pretty cool when u did that
It also pulls any other magic in towards it, which is harder to tell in this one, but if you launch it a bit earlier, you can actually see that it draws the rocks and other projectiles away within a certain range.
almost
Yeah, I wish my victory fight was as cleanly executed but this one by _far_ had the better and more consistent counter with Ranni's Dark Moon, which I thought was the most interesting tactic.
The celestial bodies Radahn spent so long holding in place get their revenge
I just found out that you can summon all of those guys to help you in this fight, it would've probably saved me a couple hours of my life. I blame the obtuse quest design of this game honestly.
Having more people increases his health. You gotta beat him 3 times, essentially
Is bro level 500? You gotta have over 60 points on every stat
Oh, I have probably well over 2000 hours in this playthrough and I'd maxed out my level (which hard caps at 713) before the DLC released.
You can also use it against Rellana, first to absorb her magic slashes when entering phase 2, then if you time it correctly, you can also dodge her twin moon attack by being in the air when casting it.
I'll definitely give that a go on my next run!
I heard the Dark Moon can also counter his (their) meteor
@@maidros85 I assume it's using it as an extended jump primarily, but I'll have to check it out once I get back through again.
