  • BMW got it spot on when they decided that their SUV would be called Sports Activity Vehicle ( SAV) instead of Sports Utility Vehicle, because the X3 is definitely more than a utility vehicle. what I like most is the xdrive, which really puts the X series way above other vehicles in terms of safety, especially on slippery roads.

    Nice insightful video. I know there's quite a price gap and vehicle size difference, but with pre-reg prices for the X3 bringing it much closer to the Volvo, how would rate these in terms of comfort or overall driving dynamics? Am I right to say that the XC40 is sportier, while the X3 is more comfort oriented? thanks.

      Hi Yong, the XC40 is much smaller compared to the X3, so it would be an unfair comparison. Both are great vehicles, and I would agree that making a choice between the two would be difficult if size was taken out of play.

    helllo mr sifu!! you're always excellence,.
    just curious... i'm a hardcore of turbo+awd... all 4 of my current cars are hpt and awd, so how's the grip and the handling of x3 compared to your golf R ??

      @YSKhongDriving  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Golf R is a car so it is better handling than the X3.

    Insightful and dynamics driving by Sifu as always. Now, Im shopping for medium size SUV. My shorlisted are X3, XC40 & GLC, Driven all but cant fulfilled my checklist. X3 is great overall but without advance safety, XC40 most sexiest & full of advance safety but drive like normal SUV, GLC nice interior & exterior but small cargo space. Any advice, Sifu?

      Try looking at the Rav4. 580 litres of boot space, 207 ps, 8 speed trans, full Toyota Safety Sense, 7 airbags.

    Mr Khong, now adays these traction/ stability control uses the car's braking system instead torque vectoring. Which in a way stabilise car but indirectly wear out brake unevenly. Total uselesa system compares to torque vectoring. Correct me if i'm wrong ya

      Torque vectoring also uses the brakes. Many systems use the brakes to divert drive between axles and also to shift weight, plus stop the car. Yes, it does wear the brakes down, but the ability to individually brake wheels is a great boon to car control.
      Under normal circumstances we also use brakes to do weight transfer, and left foot braking to help turn cars, and handbrakes for drifting and rally driving.

    Hello Mr khong. How does this pair up with Cx8 2.5 turbo in terms of power and ride?

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The CX8 is a bigger vehicle.
