After using riceberry face serum by littleextrrra for three weeks, here's what I felt: Benefits: It effectively softens and evens out the skin, giving it a gentle glow. I've also seen a decrease in my genetic dark circles (avoiding the eye area is recommended). It has also helped diminish dark spots on my sister's skin. Cons: Personally, I have dry and dull skin, and using the serum daily exacerbated my dryness. I advise using it thrice a week along with a good moisturizer to avoid dryness. I haven't seen any noticeable improvement in tan or pigmentation issues in first 3 weeks. Update after 2 months: After nearly two months of regular use, I consider it my favorite face serum. It has started showing promising outcomes. My skin glows, dark circles lessened, and dark spots reduced a lot. So perseverance is key when using this face serum.
I have been using this riceberry serum for a considerable period and its results are fantastic. My face now looks clear and radiant. Additionally, it nourishes my skin and absorbs quickly into my skin, giving me a bright and shiny look. I really enjoyed it.
VIdeo summarized: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect skin against environmental aggressors such as UV rays and pollution. It helps reduce the signs of premature aging, including fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin texture, and hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C also improves collagen assembly, reduces hyperpigmentation, and has a role in treating inflammatory conditions and hyperpigmentation disorders. Vitamin C is best applied once a day, either in the morning or at night, and is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is most effective when formulated as l-ascorbic acid at a pH of 3.5, but vitamin C esters are available for those with sensitive skin. Vitamin C should not be used in individuals with acne-prone skin in the early stages of acne treatment.
Yes, loving the series ! Please continue it on within body care including, body cleansers, bath products that all get your thumbs up and also skincare for the body, handcreams, shampoos, the list is endless.
Dr Sam, can you please do a video at the end of this series, regarding how to incorporate azelaic acid, niacinamide, retinoids and vitamin C into a routine. Maybe ceramides and peptides too. I feel so overwhelmed. I'm on trentinoin and skinoren and getting on well but feel overwhelmed when considering a vitamin C. Thanks from a 57 yo.
Thank you so much 🥰! Azelaic Acid 15% with Benzol Peroxide 5% are helping me to be away from painful visits to my esthetician. Because of your amazing recommendations, my skin is getting better from auto-immune conditions and hoping to start Vitamin C in 6 months 🙏🏻. More power 😘.
@@sheezaejaz7086 hey dear, I get them OTC here in the Philippines, using Skinoren 15% (azelaic acid) and Benzac gel 5% (benzol peroxide), following Dr.Sam’s instructions on this one- th-cam.com/video/j2Vypoy7Vls/w-d-xo.html *praying to get my hands on Dr. Sam’s skincare products once shipping in the Philippines becomes easy-peasy 🥰.
Thanks as usual! L Ascorbic is one of my holy grail since 10 years and it has worked so well during these years that the texture and clearness of my skin is much better than in my 30s or 40s! xoxo
" L-ascorbic acid needs an pH of 3.5". What about a product where l-ascorbic acid is in a waterfree solution of propandiol (like the Ordinary "Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%") is that even working, because it won't have an low pH, right? (because waterfree)? or is it only working if i use an acid toner beforehand? Besides this question, i love this series and your videos in general.
Very helpful, thanks! I just checked my L'Oreal dropper bottle vitamin C serum and discovered that it's 1-month expired, it only lasts 3 months. No wonder I've being wiping orange off my face lately in the afternoon! Going to try a different brand next time. But will keep going with it. I'm 49 now, need to do these things.
I have a question, we are all being told to use Vit C in the morning to protect against free-radicals and optimize sun protection. I personally use Skinceuticals Vit C in the morning. Many awesome anti aging day creams/serums includes multiple peptides. Peptides and Vit C cancel each other out and should not be used together (At least thats what new research shows). So how do we protect ourself against daily free radicals (vit C) and still get the anti aging daily benefits of peptides in daily creams/serums? Thank you
I rediscovered my Olay serums. Beautypedia gives them 5 stars - not sure if all of then...have to check, but I know the one I used this morning got 5 stars. Tone perfecting serum B and Vitamin C. Will see what happens 🙂
As you mentioned Vitamin C is very unstable. So you apply it to your skin then go outside in the sunshine. Isn't it going to oxidise and cause free radical damage?
Has anyone else has or had a problem with trying to get in touch with someone on there website? I’ve emailed then numerous times, and to no one has responded!!😡it’s very frustrating!!!
I applied Vit C Ferulic skinceuticals then the CeraVe salicylic acid moist TERRIBLE mistake 🥵 My skin end up burning, itching, then it goes away after 2h
You didn’t mention percentages. I was using 20% Ascorbic but found it drying. Timeless then came out with a 10% and I seem to be tolerating it better but wondering if I’m getting the same benefits. So, how important are the percentages?
can you just rub liquid vitaman c in a bottle from the vitamin shop onto your skin instead of buying expensive skin creams? or perhaps rub a raw orange slice on your skin?
So does the reported pH imply that I could hypothetically use a pH test strip to test the acidity of a product and it would in the case many of vit cs, it would be say, 3.5?
If the colour has significantly changed, its recommended to discard it. Keep the lid screwed tightly on and keep it in it's original packaging to reduce light exposure.
This didn't really help figure out what products to use because there's multiple types of vitamin c products some of which are effective in some of which are not
Thanks for the video. A bit of constructive criticism for you though - you sound a little bit like a robot, being very careful with what you are saying. Maybe work on that. And also, the structure of the video seems a bit off. I clicked on this looking for answers, but you seem to drive round a roundabout for ages before getting to your destination. Edit: explain to the watcher the benefits of the thing first, then explain what it actually is afterwards. And explain what you're going to talk about at the beginning of the video. This video reminds me of watching a podcast based on a certain subject, then the interviewee asks the guest who they are and where they came from...No one cares, we care about the subject matter. You can get to personal details afterwards
First time watching u.. u r very beautiful, very knowledgeable, very professional. However I personally don't like the name, I SINCERELY HOPE YOU RECONSIDER using Samantha. When I use Sam, I feel it degrades from you as a person. Sorry, queen Liz ain't as good as queen Elizabeth. This also applies to you.. Or maby just drop Sam all together n use your last name instead... U have the MOJO this Change will add to it... SINCERELY

Hi!❤️ Are you getting the azelaic acid + benzoyl peroxide as a prescription?

If you’re sensitive to vitamin C, I highly recommend NIOD’s Survival 0 if you’re looking for an antioxidant serum
organic aloe

Very informative ... Thank you Doctor . Greetings from Sri Lanka

Thank you, Dr. Wonderful education!
You're welcome Christine.

Can you use Vit C and Azelic Acid (10%) in your morning routine before sunscreen and what would the order be in respect of layering. Thank you.
Yes you can, she mentioned it in her azaleic acid video. Vit c first then azaleic acid (then niacinamide if it’s in your routine) then sunscreen
Just amazing- presentations, science and all. Thanks
Love this series! Emma x
Great information. I've been using Vit c for about 2 years...
Good tips, have any studies been performed Dr Sam to look at Vit C in prevention of facial aging ? Thanks William
I applied Vit C Ferulic skinceuticals then the CeraVe salicylic acid moist
TERRIBLE mistake 🥵
My skin end up burning, itching, then it goes away after 2h

The percentage that really works is 15% to 20%. Of course if you tolerate it.
can you just rub liquid vitaman c in a bottle from the vitamin shop onto your skin instead of buying expensive skin creams? or perhaps rub a raw orange slice on your skin?
Thank you so much. So very helpful you are. Can you put vitamin c serum on eyelids and under eyes?
I would like to know this too.
Literally rubbed my vitamin c all over my broken out chin just now 😭
Great information 💓
Thanks!
I'm early, you are beautiful btw great video
So how much?
Please doc can i use benzoyl perxide and adapalene with them
So does the reported pH imply that I could hypothetically use a pH test strip to test the acidity of a product and it would in the case many of vit cs, it would be say, 3.5?
Would love to know the order of layering, when comes the Vitamine C in my morning routine
Thank you very much
Can it be used with retinoid in the same routine? Thank you
Not advised.
You can use both if your skin can handle it. Use the Vit C in the morning before sunscreen. Then use your retinoid at night.
Vitamin C in the morning, retionoids at night.
Can we still use our vitamin serum if it is oxidsed?
If the colour has significantly changed, its recommended to discard it. Keep the lid screwed tightly on and keep it in it's original packaging to reduce light exposure.

I can't get pasted how she has vitamin 😩 😂
